"Creekside Serenade"

Todd, NC - This cozy log cabin comes quaintly furnished with brand new furniture and is conveniently located just off scenic Hwy 194S on a quiet lane. Close to Boone, West Jefferson, Todd and the Blue Ridge Parkway, you can hike or take a walk with your dog directly from the front door. The cabin is tastefully decorated in warm mountain decor.

The main living area includes a stone gas fireplace for cozying on those cool Carolina Mountain evenings, and a dining/kitchen combo fully equipped with everything you need to prepare that special meal for your significant other. A bedroom with comfy new king sized log bed and a bath are also on this level. Upstairs is another bedroom with king bed and bath along with a loft area that offers a king sleeper sofa for extra sleeping. With central heat and air conditioning there's no need to worry about the weather.

Out back, you're sure to enjoy the screened in porch with hot tub and seating area for reading. This creekfront retreat is like being in your own little state park. If a peaceful, quiet and beautiful setting is what you are looking for, this cabin is your best choice. Allows small pets and provides a wonderful, fenced area for children and pets.

The surrounding area offers many attractions and site seeing opportunities. Nearby is Mount Jefferson State Park, Elk Knob State Park, New River State Park, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Grandfather Mountain, Blowing Rock and the quaint towns of Boone, Todd & West Jefferson. Enjoy a day at the Farmers Market or explore the many art galleries and local shops in downtown West Jefferson. Take in the breathtaking views of the Blue Ridge Mountains from the world famous swinging bridge at Grandfather Mountain. Make sure to visit Mystery Hill or Tweetsie Railroad while you're in Blowing Rock. Looking more adventure? Then spend the day canoeing/tubing the New River or hiking at one of our state parks. For some winter fun, head to one of our three most popular ski resorts: Appalachian Ski Mtn, Sugar Mtn, or Beech Mtn.

A Respite from the Coastal Heat

Disappointed with the kitchen pots and pans(many need to be thrown out), silverware drawer feels like it wants to fall out when opened, no closets, hot tub water was cloudy and contained black particles that accumulated on the lower right side, never could figure out the upstairs shower, cabin was very dark inside, walkway to front porch was always muddy.

Great mountain weekend

Lovely cabin, perfectly sized for mom, dad and daughter, clean, great amenities, and close to West Jefferson for a wonderful day trip! Much needed relaxation in the hot tub and fire pit and the sound of the creek was like a lullaby. Would definitely stay here again!

Quiet and cozy

Wonderful Girls Weekend

The cabin was beautiful! So clean & gorgeous setting! Only wish it had a latch on the back screen door. And we could not locate the remote for the gas logs. But other than that, perfect! 10 stars! Already recommending to friends & family & would definitely stay again!

Beautiful home with some quirks

The process to reserve with the reservation company was a bit challenging (having to fill out and submit a very long lease multiple times). The hot tub seemed to be struggling to heat and it would not stop running loudly all night. My children were so excited for the game table but it was missing two pool balls and the turning function was missing one of the fasteners. The water took a very long time to drain so we had to stand in dirty water while we showered.

Only a few recommendations: Need more bowls(4), wine glasses(3), and plates(4). Need a trash can upstairs. Dryer sounds horrible but seemed to work on. Dishwasher only functions on 1-2 settings. Radio would turn itself on mid day(maybe a timer issue but we couldn't figure out how to change it). Customers need to be encouraged to use their own service for music, as no radio stations come in clearly. We visited a month after the hurricane and there was a tree still leaning in the back yard. Would suggest a good leaf blowing prior to renters coming in so pathways are clearer to see, lots of fall risks. Upstairs is very nice. Downstairs is very small and tight but manageable. I would not suggest more than 4 people and that's tight.

The cabin was exactly as described, very cozy, very charming. We had everything we needed for a 3 night getaway. The kids especially enjoyed sleeping in the loft with the rain drumming on the tin roof. I appreciated the small fenced in area where we could let our dog out, instead of having to leash her every time.

Overall property was not clean at all and included cobwebs everywhere and unclean toilets. Many of the amenities such as glasses and bowls were either cracked or just not there. Again, had numerous great stays at this property. Unfortunately this was not one of them. Property Management group was exceptional as always.

Our favorite spot!

This is our second stay at this charming log cabin. We come up to visit our son and this spot is perfect. We love the two porches, especially the screened porch which overlooks the creek, and we often see deer strolling through the woods. The cabin has everything you need, including very comfortable beds!
