This motel is very small and severely outdated. “Hot” water was little more than luke warm, bed and pillows uncomfortable. It was clean however and owners seemed nice. If it was a budget hotel ie $70/night it would be fine, but at the prices that i saw it is jot worth the money.
A pleasant little motel that covers the basics for staying in Tofino. Walking distance to Chesterman Beach and closer to a cafe, tacos, groceries, yoga and a surf shop.

Motel - Great location
Motel is in great location. It looks a little tired but functionally it's good. The staff are really nice and friendly. 2 Big beds and heating/shower works. Does as it says on the tin. Motel - not luxury but we were happt with the stay. It's right next door to a Great coffee show - eatery and bike hire place. All recommended.

We frequent this motel as a straightforward home base in Tofino, as we barely spend time indoors. It is economically and location wise fantastic. The owners are fantastic, extremely friendly and treats you like family. I just wish for some updating and maintenance, it’s feeling very run down. Bathroom very shabby and barely any shower pressure. Cobwebs in the corners and too much insects found in the bathroom for my liking. Despite all this we do keep coming back so that’s something!

Too close to the high way. Thin walls. Nice enough for the price though.
The location is fantastic! The room is tiny, not as clean as it should be, and is in disrepair. It’s ludicrous that they can charge over $200/night after taxes for this room at this property. They only get away with it because it’s Tofino!
Staff were super friendly. They went over and beyond for getting us checked in. I noticed the floors in our unit was sandy. Wasn’t a huge deal, but it seemed like someone walked around in the unit with their shoes on prior to our arrival. Overall great location!
Beach is 10mins walk or 2mins drive so it was very convenient. We just chill at the beach having fire & dinner till late. Stuff is nice. The room smell the first night so we left the window open. It's by the highway so bit noisy by the cars passing by. Surfing rental shop & garden is few mins away also. Everywhere else is all full so we are lucky to get a room here.

The hostess was very friendly , he.lpful and generous. The accommodation worked well for us, and was conveniently situated. The only thing missing was hooks to hang towels from in the bathroom.

We were overcharged and then asked to pay for a child when the policy clearly states children under 17 are free.
Exterior is unappealing but rooms are clean, equipped and overall good basic accommodation.

The room was usable, but very much a no-frills affair, old and run-down. No one serviced the room on the second day. The best thing about the place was the location, within a short distance to the beach and to a fantastic restaurant (Wild Things).
There are ants all over the place. Woke up to ants in my bags, and on my other belongings. When leaving early, mentions to the owner, she said that she knew about the problem. And didn't seem to care about getting the place professionally sprayed
It looks like some of the rooms have been somewhat recently renovated which must be where the good reviews are coming from. This place is a dump. The bed is a rock with terrible pillows. The bathtub was all rusted along the side. The towels were small, really poor quality and mine had a giant black hair in it and also some small brown stains on it. It rained one night while we were there and the whole room felt extremely damp, might as well have been in a tent.
The room was a box with only enough space to walk around the bed. The bathroom had ants and I don't think the floor had been washed in weeks. The location was a bit out of town but great for the beach and right beside an area with food.
For the same price the hostels in town are way better. The tofino hostel is awesome and you get water front views for the same price. Score.

Horrible experience
Had the worse experience booking with hotels.com and Dolphin Motel.
I receiced confirmation of booking from hotels.com and started my journey from vancouver. I was half way on my way when i received a call from a lady who barely speaks English from the motel saying they don’t have a room and there was a mistake with booking.
I did not have proper reception and could not call Hotels.com until I got to Tofino.
When i called I had to explain the issue to so many people from Hotels.com and stayed on hold for half an hour while waiting on the road side because of poor connection.
After an hour conversation and 3 phone calls back and forth they said they cannot find me another place.
I was unhappy with their customer service and drove to Tofino to find a place myself.
I found availbale room with slightly highet price and called Hotels.com and asked them to book this room for me instead. They simply said we cannot do that even though the hotel was working with them.
Overall, horrible experience booking with Hotels.com and Dolphin Motel.
Would not recommend at all.
