Our stay was so quiet and peaceful and it was so awesome seeing the cows right out the back windows. Check in was really easy and wifi access was great. The house is very close to Starved Rock and Matthiessen state parks which we really enjoyed hiking. Would definitely recommend this home for a relaxing stay. "

"This is our second visit to the Cornerstone Inn and we’ll come back again if we’re in the area. It’s a quaint, clean, well appointed hometown hotel. There are only 7 rooms, we’ve stayed in #3 both times. They offer a basic continental breakfast, nothing special. There is a coffee shop next door at street level. There is also an underground bar that’s cool in the basement (the W Down Under) with limited food offferings. There are a few restaurants within walking distance. Lots of unique shops in the area. The hotel is old but VERY clean, high ceilings, big windows, ann old brick building. Cool. "
