The cottage is in a peaceful spot, yet only 2.4 miles from Marden village with local shops and traditional pubs, and main line railway station. The local pub, the West End Tavern, is 1.5 miles on foot. Winery Herbert Hall (1.7 miles), Anno Gin Distillery (2.5 miles) and Balfour Winery (3.5 miles) are close by. Further afield are Scotney Castle (8 miles), Sissinghurst Castle Gardens (10 miles), and Leeds Castle (13 miles). For adventurous family days out, Bedgebury Forest and Bewl Water offer climbing, cycling, mountain biking, play trails and more, whilst everyone is bound to enjoy the Tenterden to Bodiam Steam Railway. The medieval town of Rye is 25 miles away with Camber Sands just 3 miles further along the coast.


The entrance to this spacious property is via the rear door into a boot room with storage for coats and boots. The main living area consists of an open plan modern kitchen, with dining area and cosy sitting room. The drawing room adjoins this area via sliding doors and has been comfortably furnished and styled with a large sofa, a chaise longue and an armchair arranged around the wood burning stove and Smart TV. The well-appointed kitchen has all the appliances required for preparing everything from simple breakfasts to cooking celebratory dinners while the dining area provides a relaxed setting for sharing meals with an oval table with soft corner seating and chairs. Outside the private terrace invites alfresco dining and relaxation amid the large, enclosed garden with parkland views. There is a charcoal BBQ and a fire pit, perfect for toasting marshmallows. Owners are required to keep their dogs on a lead in the parkland if there are sheep grazing on the land.
