"The couple were kind and accommodating. They were an hour late to pick us up at the airport. Yet, they also took us to the train station the next morning at 5:00 am. Very kind. They used our toilet which was very odd to us. The bed was very, very low, a tiny futon. We did not sleep well. The space ( bedroom) tiny. Not a guesthouse. A room. about 20-30 minutes from airport. "ANA Crown Plaza in Narita is really close to the airport and has some nice dining options in the hotel and a fantastic teppanyaki/okonomiyaki place across the street (called Issunboh). ANA crown plaza has its flaws, like the black mold in the shower between every tile, house keeping really dropped the ball in the bathroom. There were long black hairs in the tub in the shower, hair stuck on the walls, and stains around the room. The bed had fresh sheets, but the previous tenant sweat so much their smell was in the pillows and mattress. we noticed a faint woody smoke smell in the room when we first got there, only for thee smell to get worse the longer we stayed in bed warming it up. There were also stains on the bed frame fabric on our bed. The staff was incredibly helpful, and there's a family mart inside the hotel for those in need of a snack. My only bad interaction was a misunderstanding over what i thought was a complimentary morning coffee table, apparently its for buffet guests only, and will cost you 500 yen. Nothing was said to me about the cost until i was done making my coffee and tried to walk away. Mind you, there's no sign linking the coffee to the buffet, a price for coffee, or even a price for the buffet. A gentleman with a clipboard watched me make a coffee then hollered at me as i walked away."

"New and clean, conveniently located. We stayed the first week we were in Tokyo, we left for Osaka for a few days and came back here for another few days until we flew out of Japan. The area is quiet, which is ideal after a long day in the mostly visited cities. Although, about an hour from Tokyo, the train station is a short walk. There are convenient stores and restaurants and a mall around the area. Breakfast is very good, although I wish they’d change the menu every now and then. The staff are friendly and helpful as well. The room was clean and they do a great job with regular housekeeping. There are amenities and the quality is also better than most hotels we stayed in."

APA Hotel & Resort Tokyo Bay Makuhari

"Really nice property and love that they have free shuttle service to the train station and the limo bus goes right there. Easy check in and out. There was a false fire alarm and they efficiently and promptly figured it out. Loved the size of my room, the 24 hour convenience store and the easy walking access to shopping plazas. Everyday they leave fresh towels and amenities on your door. Only complaint is about how air conditioning and lights turn off when you take door card. I'm I was there in summer so it could be toasty, but I totally get it so I'm not really that upset."
