"Not a good continental breakfast. No juice, no fruit and powdered creamer for the coffee."

The Historic West Walker Motel

"Room was clean and reasonably priced. Market and a couple of restaurants within walking distance. Took awhile to get the TV working right. There is no onsite staff, you are sent an access code beforehand to get into your room. We booked via Expedia (who likes to send messages) so I missed the message with the access code and was panicking a bit before another lodger told us what to look for. Good place for an overnight stay."

Creekside Lodge

8/10 Good

"The Creekside Inn is basic, but in Alpine County, if that's where you want to be (and it offers incredible outdoor opportunities and natural beauty year-round!), basic is pretty good. It's quiet, and not at all as pricey as most of the alternatives (of which there are very few). Fabulous restaurant, Stonefly, across the street, is open for dinner Th-Sun. We haven't tried the hotel next door as an alternative for dinner M-W, but that's basically your only option. For decent coffee, there is Mad Dog Cafe in Woodford's, though it doesn't open till 9 a.m. We arrived about 5 p.m. and the room was quite warm. It does cool off at night, but be aware there is no air-conditioning (though we know from past experience, that the heat does work in the winter! Comfortable beds, clean bathroom, one sitting chair, and a TV -- do you need more?"

Andruss Motel

"Andruss isn’t bougie but it’s well maintained and clean. Everything (such as outlets) worked which is more than I can say for many of the fancier places I’ve stayed. Staff was very friendly and helpful plus both of the other motel guests I met were repeat customers. Both said they had stayed at Andruss multiple times and I would also stay there again. Best part, the bed was so comfortable that it was the best sleep I had on this trip."

WWM Eastern Sierra year round Custom Tiny House

"We ended up getting a call earlier in the day because the tiny house was no longer available but they were able to put us in one of the suites and provide a roll a way bed. It was perfect. They were very accommodating and it worked out wonderfully. The motel is very close to Yosemite and we enjoyed watching the storm that rolled through over the mountains."

"Everything about the property is excellent. In addition to the conventional ròoms available for booking, a KOA campground is part of the overall operation. Be aware that your arrival time must be conveyed to ensure someone is available to receive you upon arrival. Also, be aware that some cell phone carriers do not cover the immediate spot. T-Mobile could not be used. Fortunately, we had another phone with a different carrier and were OK. WI-FI IS VERY GOOD. STAFF COULD BE MORE CONGENIAL."
