Small, nothing fancy but perfect for a stay in downtown Toronto. Clean and comfortable, with a small breakfast provided, or a larger one for extra. The subway is steps away, and Union Station a 10 minute walk. There are two jazz sessions each night.

The staff were all helpful and friendly, the music in the bar was great. The food at the bar was better than most other restaurants we ate at. You can hear the music from the room but they stop at respectful times. The only complaint we have was the bed needed a new mattress, it was hard and uncomfortable

I wasn’t sure what to expect on arrival as the lobby is very small. Our room was on the second floor - walk up. We chose a room with a private bathroom. The room and bathroom were very clean and there are no funky smells anywhere in the hotel. The only reason I am giving a four star is because the property does need a fresh coat of paint and updated artwork and possibly new furniture. The cost was a little high for the condition of the hotel but I felt safe while staying there.

It is a very good value for the price Many hotels were $400 to $700. This was centrally located in the heart of Toronto. Near chinatown eatons centre old/new city hall. We took a 10 minute uber to the disterely district. The room was clean no bed bugs etc. A bit older but amazing value. Had a great breakfast and coffee at the same location for under $20.

I have stayed here numerous times. Great location on Queen Street in downtown Toronto, 15 to 20 minute walk from so much - Roger's Centre, Kensington Market, AGO, the Quay on the Lake Ontario waterfront, and much more. Many great restaurants nearby, and a subway station 1 block away if needed. If you are ok with a simple very small room with minimum furnishings (bed, table, chair, bath/shower can be private or shared), and want a great price for a Toronto hotel - this is the place for you. And there is a bonus - the REX is a renowned jazz venue and there are jazz performances every night at 5pm and 8pm, with no cover charge for hotel guests.
