"Lovely situation - large room that was clean. However walking in it felt quite down at heel, a bit like a scruffy airport waiting area. We ate in the restaurant on arrival - the food was edible. However, the staff at reception and in the restaurant were welcoming and attentive."

"We enjoyed two nights at the Clayton Hotel in Leeds. The staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The location suited our needs and the onsite, reasonably priced car parking was a big plus. We ate one evening meal at the hotel and it was very tasty. Breakfast was OK but nothing special. The main thing that stops me giving this a higher score was the broken drawer and damaged bathroom door. Which we mentioned on leaving as they were minor inconveniences/unsightly rather than, needed to be...
