"Walk uphill at end of day after sailing was a grind. Self imposed as the hotel offered shuttles at various times. Could not have been more helpful but you have to be prepared for very Japanese experience. Try the restaurant in the hotel. Not well advertised but very attentive waiter. "

"Beautiful views over the Pacific Ocean in the open air onsen, would definitely recommend for that alone. Easily accessible by train from Nagoya city centre, however the train station has one bus (and no taxi stand) to the resort every couple of hours so organise ahead. For foreign tourists; the staff speak little English but try to be helpful!"

"This was by far my favorite place in all of Japan. The hotel is lovely and located near the ocean. Our view was absolutely stunning. The staff was warm and accommodating (even helped us order a pizza!!). The Futon mats were memory foam and more comfortable than most western beds. The tatami mats and the paper walls that separated the sitting area from the sleeping area created an authentic Japanese vibe. The fee was affordable, but the quality was luxury!!"

"My wife and I had beautiful time visiting Tennomaru. The hotel staff were polite, considerate and treated us with respect during our stay. I recommend all of my friends who visit Japan to make the trip down to Aichi and experience this special place. Come here and you won't be disappointed!"

The service was great and the owner speaks very good English so communication was easy. Communal bathing (not mixed!) was a nice experience and clean area. "The service was excellent. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay a positive experience. The only reason for putting 4 stars is that the bathroom in our room had a strong ammonia smell. Also, as a heads up, I went with my elderly mother and the building had steep stairs to get to the bath and dining, and the room was not exactly barrier free and we tripped over a couple of times (We didn't think much of it at the time of booking, so it's our fault) Otherwise, it was a great!"

"The walls are paper-thin, you can hear neighbor's TV. There is a smell of mold in the room. The shared bath was not clean. The futons are very thin as well. The communal toilet slippers were disgustingly dirty, and no other slippers inside the hotel were provided (you walk on very old carpets and floors in the hotel hallways barefooted). "愛知県の自然に囲まれた素敵なお宿でした。愛知県在住ですが、なかなか県内旅行の機会はありませんでした。今回コロナで県外への行動制限により、このような発見ができてよかったです。古い建物ですので最新の設備ではありませんが、清潔で快適に過ごすことができました。(自然の中ですので虫は仕方がないと思います。) お食事も地産地消で楽しめました。忘れ物をしてしまいましたが、丁寧な梱包で迅速に対応して頂けました。"

"古い建物なので多少はしょうがないと思いますが漏水箇所の未復旧など散見しました また客室はカビ臭が酷くなかなか寝ることが出来なかったです 温泉は良いのですが椅子や桶が清潔とは言い難かったですね！ せっかく良い温泉があるので清掃の徹底と見える箇所の不具合復旧などを行えばまた利用したくなりますね！ "

"This was a very memorable place that I visited. It is in the rural area of japan, you can really feel the realness of the area. It's in gifu however it's definitely not a tourist trap area. The owners of the establishment reminded me of my grandmother. You are not getting a hotle with this stay more of a B&B, it definitely felt like I a was sleeping over a japanese grandma's house. They also gave grate advice on a nice local restaurant at the bottom of a locals Mt that you can hike after to see...
