"We were so impressed with Tamarisk. By far the cleanest place we have ever stayed, perfect location, a real home from home feel with comfortable beds, a welcome hamper and plenty of space for the family including the dog! The garden is nice and well kept, including a bbq and sea views. The location is amazing to explore Moelfre, with coastal walks, the lifeguard centre, a local pub and cafe on the corner. The views of the bay are beautiful and the locals were very welcoming on our morning dog walks. We can’t wait to go back!"

"A place with so much potential but a bizarre experience. Everything in the room - curtains, cushions, carpet - seemed new and very promising but the attention and service that should have accompanied that good start was non-existent. At no point during our stay did we meet our hosts or any staff apart from bar staff who, although very pleasant, showed no sign of knowing that we were guests staying in the 'ghostly' property where, once the bar was shut, we felt like we were the only, and not very welcome, occupants of the whole building. It would have been nice to have been warned that, unlike all other inns, hotels, etc., that we have stayed in, there would be no service of any kind to our room throughout our stay - no replenishment of towels or the coffee/tea tray. There was a vacuum cleaner outside our door so, had it been necessary, we could have done our own cleaning! The establishment serves food but there was no breakfast available which also seemed unusual in our experience."

"The location is idylic and the house is beautiful; large enough for everyone to be together or in separate groups. Our only issue with the whole stay was that 3 nights was not nearly long enough to appreciate the house or the area. Can't recommend highly enough"

"Ideal location with beautiful countryside to visit with walks to suit all abilities. Great Indian restaurant nearby can highly recommend it called Bennlech Tandoori above a golf club, also Ann’s Pantry in Moelfre nearby. I go every year and love it. Did not come across one “Pot Hole” well done Anglesey."

"We had a lovely stay in this quiet, warm and homely bungalow. Ideal for a family of three or four, with great walks from the doorstep and a perfect base for exploring Anglesey. A good local pub is just a few minutes’ walk away, and the welcome pack was a nice touch. We’d return."

For senior citizens, climbing into a free standing bath and by juggling having a shower with a loose hand hose was difficult. Friendly owners helped make the break enjoyable,"
