"Pros: Experiencing the quiet area, of course the vineyards, but also the pub in the village made the total experience. We spend 5 days to explore the culture and nature beauties. Regional food is great, the landscape is supurb and the wine tastings are lovely. Coming home every day and enjpying the hot tub made the days perfect. Maria (the host) is lovely and very helpful. Cons: There is nothing I can mention not worth the stay"

"This is hands down one of the prettiest and coolest properties you can stay in, in rural Portugal. The property, room and pool and service was amazing, but the town itself situated in is also just one of the coolest experiences. "The Vintage House is a beautiful hotel located conveniently on the banks of the Douro River where the tour boats depart. The rooms are very well appointed and the entire hotel ,pool and grounds are wonderfully maintained. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and the dining staff on the outdoor terrace provided very attentive service. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the menu for lunch and dinner had a great selection of food & wine. We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel and would highly recommend it to others."

"We absolutely loved our stay! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and made to feel right at home. Our room was beautiful, spotless, and had an incredible view. We also had the pleasure of attending the wine and Port tasting, which was such a wonderful experience. The presenter was engaging, passionate, and truly captivating, making the tasting both fun and fascinating. The rooftop terrace and pool were absolutely amazing and felt incredibly luxurious. The breathtaking views made it even more special! We also took some time to enjoy the hotel’s wonderful spa, which offers a wide range of services. It was the perfect way to relax and unwind during our stay. Breakfast was delicious, fresh, and offered a great variety of choices. We also took a lovely walk around the property, and the grounds were simply beautiful and peaceful. Every part of our stay was memorable. We highly recommend this hotel and would happily come back again. An absolutely wonderful experience!"

"Our stay at this Duoro Valley wine estate was the absolute perfect way to relax and unwind after a fast paced tour of Portugal’s coastal cities. From the moment we arrived, the exceptional hospitality and incredibly helpful staff made us feel entirely at home. The property itself is visually spectacular, offering stunning, postcard ready views from every corner - whether lounging by the pool, dining at the restaurant, or relaxing on your hotel room balcony. The self guided audio walking tours around the vast estate were fantastic, allowing us to discover the historic vineyards at our own pace while stretching our legs. The on site wine tasting was a true highlight, while also having access to a scenic river boat tour right from the estate’s private dock on the river was incredibly convenient. Every morning started with a delicious, high quality, included breakfast spread. The dinners were absolutely awesome, showcasing fresh, flavorful, local dishes. If you are looking for an immersive, deeply relaxing vineyard getaway with world class scenery and top tier service, this property is an absolute dream."

"We had a lovely restful visit here. We've been to Douro Valley before and just wanted to relax and chill this time, we got exactly that. Pool area is great with a well maintained toilet/changing/shower block next to it and the views are amazing. We didn't go out in the evening, just had lovely meals on the terrace, but Pinhao is only a ten minute drive. Easy to find with Google maps 👍"

"Lovely hotel. Breakfast was really nice. Pool was amazing. We were in the family room and it was very spacious with proper beds for the kids. Didn’t eat at the restaurant as it wasn’t suitable for my kids but the staff recommended other local restaurants. No bar however they serve drinks and charcuterie. Would happily stay again"
