We had a lovely time up north. The red barn home was everything we were looking for in a place to lay our heads after long days of sightseeing. It was such a peaceful location but close enough to all of the places we headed to. Would stay again!!
We really enjoyed staying at Red Timbers. It's in a great location, peaceful and secluded. And not far from many attractions including; Sleeping Bear Dunes, Fishtown, kayaking, golf, downtown TC, and Timberlee Hills. Plenty of room for our dogs and family.
We enjoyed our stay here! The property was very clean and spacious. A great location to get to nearby wineries and restaurants. It was a good base to explore all the surrounding cities as well. A huge bonus that it was pet friendly. Would definitely stay again.
We had a great time in the Traverse City area! Our stay at Red Timbers was very comfortable. We had everything we needed. The location was great and so many fun places were easily accessible. Would stay there again!
When we arrived, the house was neat, clean, and all ready for our stay. The trip was very peaceful, enjoyable, and relaxing, and the house was perfect for quiet evenings or simply taking in the natural beauty that surrounds the area. There is also a lot to do and see in both Lelenau and Grand Traverse Counties. And you are not far away from these places, either. We highly recommend staying here!
The property was very comfortable for all 6 of us. It was easy to access Traverse City sites and restaurants. Many wineries near by. We would definitely stay here again.
Everything was great - we’ve been coming to TC annually for 5 or 6 years now, and this house had everything our family of 5 (plus a dog) needed! We often stay at new properties each year, but we will definitely come back to this one!
House was exactly as described, house was very clean. Directions were clear…Our group had a great time, the color of the trees was stunning. Quiet location, but close enough to town. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.
This was such a cute place to stay for a short weekend getaway.
It was the perfect size for two couples and two doggos! We would definitely stay again! 10/10 ⭐️
Thank you so much for a home where we felt comfortable and we had everything we needed there. The extra thought of having the doggie dishes was perfect. The location gave us the advantage of going to traverse city or Lake Michigan with ease. We would definitely stay here again.
Property worked out great. We had three generations and a dog and everyone had a great time. We easily enjoyed Leelenau Peninsula, Old Mission Peninsula and Traverse City from this location. Will go back again.
We stayed here while visiting the Leelanau peninsula in March. It was comfortable and everyone had what they needed. The house was beautiful! There was a lot of snow on the ground so we were unable to use the back yard/deck but it looked beautiful!
We had a very nice time. The home was neat, clean, and spacious with a relaxed atmosphere. We enjoyed a nice, quiet setting out in the country and had the time to further explore the Traverse City and Leelanau County area. We would recommend this home for a nice getaway. Very peaceful.
Had a great time. Property was clean and well equipped. Automatic sprinklers came on and hosed us down while trying to enjoy an evening bonfire, and the checkout process of stripping linens, dragging trash can to street, and washing towels seemed excessive given what we were paying, but at least the house felt clean.
The home was beautiful and comfortable! Perfect backyard for the grandbabies to play and evening family games were played on the back deck. Also enjoyed s’mores in the firepit and great memories making family dinners together in the beautiful kitchen! Plenty of room in driveway for boat/trailer/truck and another large SUV. We greatly enjoyed our trip and your home. Thank you!
The home was in the perfect location for our Son's wedding at Timberlee Hills. We were able to walk back and forth which was perfect. Very clean and everything was as described. Thank you.
We enjoyed our stay with our two adult children and 2 dogs. The house was clean, had ample space for us to have our own rooms & great amenities in the kitchen. I really appreciated the quiet neighborhood to walk the dogs in the morning. It’s about 15 min to drive into Traverse City and Cinch Park Beach and the beautiful Lake View. Not far from many farmers markets and wineries. We visited the Sleeping Bear Dunes & Empire, Michigan on one day. Then traveled up to Mission Point and stopped by a winery and lavender farm another day. We took a recommendation from the Guest Book and went to V.I, Grill in Sutton’s Bay and really enjoyed the beauty of Michigan. Thank you for having all the basics you need in a house - there was ample paper products, washer/dryer, cooking utensils & even some spices. Great stay!!
My wife and I just spent 5 days at Red Timbers. It was one of the nicest homes we've stayed in and excellently appointed and stocked. The location is 10 minutes from Traverse City but overall the location is perfect to explore all of Leelanau County; Suttons Bay, Leland, Glenn Arbor, Sleeping Bear sand dunes, and the Pearce Stocking drive. The master bed was incredibly comfortable to sleep on and that is something I am a real stickler about. We lived in Traverse City for over 20 years and know the area extremely well. That being said, we will stay here again given what we felt was it's perfect location and great home.
This place was in a great location to access Traverse city and everything the leelanau peninsula has to offer. However, the place, while immaculately clean, is not updated and doesn’t seem worth the price we paid for it. The yard appeared to be fenced in at first glance but we soon saw that the gate was broken so we couldn’t let our pup out. The beds were uncomfortable and the kitchen could have been better stocked. Also, the downstairs shower was broken so we essentially had access to 1.5 showers rather than the 2 listed. Not a bad place but lots of room for improvement!
We had a great time at this property! We went golfing at Bay Meadows family golf course, to the beach, Downtown Traverse City, and much more. Highly recommend for a family getaway!
