"Generally love this hotel - I do feel that at this point (we've been staying here several years - since 2022) some furnishings are getting a bit 'run down', and for the prices they charge they should either keep them in better condition or refurbish. That said - the hotel is overall great. One thing: management should be more aware of events! Giant conferences where people have to be somewhere on time (like All State Orchestra, for example) in particular! I knew from past years to get down for my breakfast with plenty of time, but if people aren't aware that breakfast is a whole 'made to order and not super fast' deal, then they end up entirely missing out on breakfast or risk their child being chastised at rehearsal, or demoted (yup). I felt terrible having to watch several parents wrestle with the choice before them: starve their child before a full morning of rehearsal, try to find something else on the way-ish (there isn't really anything on the way, per se, if you are walking), or (possibly still AND) risk your kid being publicly shamed :-/. The second day they did a buffet, which 1- isn't as good, so *I* was now bummed! 2 - people had already written you off and figured something else out, so I'm guessing it went to waste, and 3 - isn't what people want: people want quick breakfast choices that they can pick up: egg and bacon sandwich (meat-eaters), egg and cheese sandwich (vegetarians), veg/hummus sandwich (vegans), bagels w cream cheese, muffins - boom, done. "

"At one time, I believed Holiday was a safe choice for a night's stay, but not any more. They are no better than lower value stay chains. We made a concerted effort to stay at this hotel because it had a pool. However, the open was not open. Look, you are in Georgia and the weather has been above 70 and reaching low 80s for 10 days. Also after finding a liquor bottle at the corner of our bed when checking out, I doubt the sheets were changed before our stay. "

"Great location, everything you need, with free parking and free breakfast. Don’t expect much from breakfast but it will curb your hunger. Lots of better breakfast spots for a better meal around Athens. Bed is great, bathroom is small but functionally smart. Wish we’d known about this place earlier. Price is right!"

"This hotel is beautiful. However if you’re going to run a contactless business you should find a better route to conflict resolution than calling your guests and accusing them of smoking pot in your rooms. I was headed to dinner for Valentines Day when someone called, representing the hotel, and said a strong smell of marijuanna was reported coming from my room. The only person on the premises we encountered was a cleaning lady so I assume it was her who reported us. Suffice to say; neither of us were smoking. I believe hotel staff entered our room to be sure of this. I later got a text apologizing for the mistake. There has to be a better way to handle your customers than ruining their special night by accusing them of doing something illegal and being 100% wrong."
