The nearby lake of Llyn Geirionnydd is within walking distance. Betws-y-Coed, the gateway to Snowdonia, is about 4 miles away with its railway museum, shops and riverside walks, whilst for the more adventurous, the family-friendly treetop nets at Zip World Fforest is a must for thrill seekers. Conwy is less than 30 minutes away with its elegant 13th-century castle, NT Aberconwy House, marina and range of shops; it is also home to the smallest house in the UK. Llandudno, also 30 minutes away, has two beaches and boasts the Venue Cymru (theatre, arena and conference centre), which offers a range of touring productions. Visit Surf Snowdonia in the Conwy Valley, the UK’s first artificial surfing lake. Shop, pub and restaurant 11/2 miles.
