"We were in town for a tournament at In the Net and this was exactly what we needed. It was a short drive (~18 min) on beautiful scenic roads to the games. Little house on Lincoln was comfortable and peaceful when we wanted to be away from the high energy of competitive sports. Everything you could need was on site and the host was so easy to reach. The noise from trucks noted in other reviews is accurate AND we just used some while noise to drown it out a bit. It was better than slamming hotel...

"Black Diamond Retreat was a wonderful place for a family gathering. Both indoor and outdoor areas were spacious and gave everyone room to spread out and wander. We enjoyed sitting around the fire pit every evening and playing corn hole and bocci outside as well. Even though it seemed we were away in the middle of nowhere and very quiet, town was only a short drive away. Some of us did take and enjoy the Yuengling Brewery tour. "I grew up in Shamokin so I understand most of the homes are historically old and many are row houses. The host does a wonderful job of making the home feel welcoming. Loved the decor and fun layout. The bathroom is large and clean with great water pressure; that's always a bonus. ;)"

"First, the property was unprepared for guests. Key features were not ready to use: the pool water was green and murky (in May) despite specific asks to have it prepared and despite it being prominently displayed on the listing as a major feature of the property. The refrigerator was not on so perishable items could not be kept cold for 24 hours. The Wi-Fi did not work upon arrival. Second, there were structural issues with the property, some of which were unsafe. The kitchen ceiling was leaking...

"Backyard was great for letting the dog off leash. There was plenty of space to lounge. Convenient to Reading Hospital. Neighborhood not a desired place to walk about but the convenience and the clean decor was nice."

"It’s a little house/ camper on the farm property. If you don’t mind glamping camper style- you’ll be fine. The deck was really cute to hang out on and it had a great view. The hot tub is not at the little house- it’s at the main house. We drove to it (mainly because it was chilly at night but can be walkable.) The rooms were very small, studio apartment like but still very cute. It had all the essentials and we were very happy with it. "
