"Great location, 10 min walk to town. Beautiful apartment, photos are very accurate. Had everything you could need and some lovely local treats. Private and self access but hosts contactable all weekend and sent messages to check all was okay, they were lovely. Use of surf board and body boards was a bonus. Would definitely return, was a weekend to remember. Thanks for a great stay!"

"Thank you kindly for a lovely break at your hotel.. Breakfast there was plenty of choice even if vegetarian. Served every morning by a very friendly kindly lady. The chamber staff were more than helpful and happy in their work smiling and always with morning pleasantries. The room was clean with quality bedlinnen a comfortable beds. A good clean bathroom with shower..Thank you all very much for a wonderful stay..Definitely recommend the Griffin"

"Overall lovely hotel with beautiful decor and facilities. Everywhere was very clean. The overflow car park still undergoing building works and £27 a day for parking is very overpriced. No toilet roll in our room. Very slow service at breakfast and ran out of milk at and could only offer oat milk. Seemed to be more waiting staff just stood around rather than serving"

Great Western Hotel

"Booked a standard double a couple of months before our stay. Couldn't book a parking space in advance as all taken. Only a small car park at the front. We used JustPark spaces on Asda carpark nearby & had no issues. Had a lovely room with alot of space for luggage to be left out. Room also included a wardrobe, 2 large mirrors (1 full length), plenty of drawers in desk, chair, tea/coffee/hot chocolate/milk sachets etc, kettle, lamp, TV, portable fan, opening window, extra pillows if needed, comfy bed, clean bedding & towels which are changed regularly, decent bathroom, toiletries, shower mat, towel rail, hooks, shower shelves. Some marks on the carpet & creaky floor in some spots. Our room was on the side & we could still see & hear the sea which was a plus. Some peeling paint & a loose drainpipe outside our window, but facing the sea & weather it's to be expected. No noise from the bar area or outside. We didn't include the breakfast in our booking & didn't eat at the restaurant but it was always busy. Good drinks selection & amazing outside terrace overlooking Great Western Beach with amazing views all around. Friendly staff & housekeeping team were very good and efficient. Can store your luggage in reception if you arrive early. Reception has info & pics about the history of the hotel, a phone charging station & plenty of leaflets regarding things to do in the area. Nice location only a short walk to main streets & convenience stores nearby. Would definitely stay again."

"Loved our stay in the Invernook Hotel! Ros and Keith were the perfect hosts; kind and helpful. Breakfast was delicious! Comfortable bed, bathroom small but adequate… in the heart of Newquay with lots of choices of restaurants, coffee shops and shops (there must have been 8 to 10 charity shops!!)! A great place to stay for our week’s holiday!"

"Friendly and very helpful staff. The only issues were that one of the mattresses was lumpy and needs replacing, The water pressure was low and the shower water took a bout 1/2 hour to heat up. The room was very clean with an updated shower and toilet."
