The instructions on how to access the keys and the apartment itself were excellent. “Mountain views” meant views to the wall of a massive rock a few meters away. The apartment was clean and spacious. We had specifically booked in Haro in order to walk around the wineries and bars in June at then of a few days in Pamplona.The appartment had been let out to someone else by the owner and we were only told when we arrived in Haro. We were given an alternative property which was 10 minutes drive away. This was not suitable for us and represented a waste of our time and effort."

"Located in the heart of the Rioja region the Hotel provided a very comfortable and friendly base from which to explore. Reception staff were excellent friendly with excellent English. We were guided to a local multi-lingual and talented taxi company who acted as tour guides and local advisors - made our trip really special. We had free EV charging in the free carpark next to the front door of the Hotel."

"The parador is so beautiful. Superbly and sensitively refurbished. The massive four poster was amazing and all the staff were helpful. The town itself is a little run down and feels like it’s been rather left behind. Many closed shops and bars, empty houses and overgrown lots."

"Great property with fabulous, well kept rooms and lovely staff. A great pool area and lots of activities for families as well as a nice play area. Breakfast not so great sadly, eggs were green, bread and pastries were stale and hard, even juice was bitter and acidic. Sadly no vegetarian food at the restaurant last night either so, have left hungry… but it was a really nice hotel. If you’re not bothered about food, it’s definitely worth the stay!"

"It was excellent location and staff and food all amazing. It’s right in the centre of the fascinating town Santo Domingo de La Calzada. Love paradors and this one did not disappoint. The food was fab I’d definitely recommend half board. The only negative is that it was quite difficult to locate even with the instructions sent from the hotel. A friendly local had to help us by by getting in the car and telling us where to go."

"this historic property in Haro was very nice. a beautiful lounge/covered courtyard and large rooms and bathrooms. while the frontdesk staff were very nice, many of them did not speak english so it was hard to ask for assistance or help. breakfast was not included (15 euros for a breakfast buffet) and we did not eat at the in house restaurant"
