Perfect location (two minute walk to daughter's house); excellent breakfasts, particularly the porridge; fun pub downstairs, loved a cappella rehearsal.

Property is well located for a jumping off point anywhere in the Lake District. We had a two bedroom for my wife, my son, and with a parking spot right in front of the door. Dinner was delicious and breakfast was plenty to get you going. The you lady working the desk/restaurant/bar is a joy.

Incredible location close to everything, friendly staff, good value. The rooms are basic but comfortable, with nice views, lots of amenities including kettle, full bath. Llangollen is a beautiful, friendly town with local shops/no franchises. There are wonderful walks along canals to waterfalls, deserted abbeys.

Amazing staff; very helpful and kind and we cannot recommend them more. Room was dated, but very clean and functional and honestly, it was exactly what we needed for two nights of hiking out into the canals and waterways. Should we come through again, we would happily come back.

Super friendly welcome by the hosts. The room was large and comfortable and we really enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the horses. The pub in the village was about a 5 minute drive away and was fantastic.

The Lion Inn was one of the most charming Inn's I have stayed in. The rooms are charming- you approach yours as if it is your own little cottage. Inside, they are cheerful and bright and have the latest in sleeping accommodations and amenities. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The pub is wonderful, The cuisine is delicious and contemporary, and the servers are lovely and efficient. The Inn is located near the Grade I church of St. Oswalds, -a two-minute walk away.
