Since moving away from this area, I have stayed many places near Trinidad. This home has the most spectacular view I've ever seen! It is well stocked and so close to the freeway, prime beaches, and the beautiful beachside town of Trinidad.

Well, my girlfriend gives it a 10 because of the flowers, hot tub and great ocean view. I give it a 8 because of those items combined with in my eyes the lack of quality control on a few items. Those items are: 1. The host did not communicate with us one single time, other than a message that my second payment was due which wasn't accurate as I had a few more days contractually in which to pay it. This creates a very cold feeling in my opinion. 2. Deteriorating wood deck (lucky if you don't catch a splinter or at worst a screw in your foot) 3. Section of the deck that is mysteriously walled off with no "do not enter" or "danger keep out" sign, which should be there from a legal standpoint. The deck is more deteriorated and damaged in that area. An outdoor mat for walking on the deck would make sense if it is not going to be repaired to avoid a splinter or screw in the foot. 4. The bedroom fan has a glass cover over the light that hasn't been cleaned in quite some time, there were bugs and dust inside (which I cleaned out). 5. Coffee maker is as cheap as you could buy 6. Trash bags didn't fit the trash can 7. You get the sense the owner doesn't care about maintaining the house. There is some newer untreated wood that has been used to repair damaged untreated wood outside which will just become damaged and deteriorated over time. However, with that being said, it is a solid 9 I feel. If you stay at this VRBO I think you will enjoy your stay, the views are nearly breathtaking.

I had a wonderful stay at The Garage House. There is nothing that could have made it any better because it is perfect. The view is sublime. The kitchen is very well stocked. I cooked all of my own meals and had everything I needed. The bed is soft and I slept well. The ocean waves lulled me to sleep. I cried when it was time to leave and I hope I can come back soon.

The Garage House was a great home base for our trip to the Redwoods. It had everything we needed, and was very clean. It was a great place to come home to at the end of the day. And the view is amazing. We also appreciated the stack of takeout menus on the coffee table - this let us try some of the local places, and also enjoy eating dinner while looking out over the ocean.

The kitchen could have a few more items but we really didn't cook so it was fine. Didn't use the hot tub. We really enjoyed the peace & quiet of the house. Beautiful view! The house was set up so cute. We enjoyed our time there.

Shopping was very easy just a few minutes to Murphys (grocery store) They have everything you need. Awesome restaurants in town also. Then not far is the bay, dock, and Seascape restaurant! Kitchen has everything thing you need. Bathroom is awesome especially if you have knee issues!The only snall thing would rather have a king size bed but i would go backin a minute.

I stay in vrbo’s all over the country and the garage house is my absolute favorite. It is truly a hidden gem. You can’t beat the view. Very attentive and thoughtful host. This last stay was my third time here, but definitely won’t be my last. TheGarage house is magical. I’d give it 10 stars if I could.

This gorgeous property sits right on a bluff overlooking the ocean with breathtaking views of seastacks, Trinidad and Trinidad Harbor. I have traveled the world extensively and the views from this property are as beautiful as any place I've been. The inside is spacious with an open floor concept, there is a huge bay window, and there is a large deck and adjacent grassy yard plus a hot tub. The interior trim is wood with tile floors and stone walls in the bathroom. THe owners have outfitted the house with everything a guest could want, with a fully equipped kitchen, plates and bowls, and multiple types of drinkware. The check in process was easy - just getting the code to the lockbox with the key. The property instructions are clear and simple, taking only one page. I absolutely loved staying here and will do so again. For visitors to this area the property is close to dining and shopping in Trinidad and is also close to multiple parks including Sue-meg, the Lagoons, Redwood State Park, Prairie Creek State Park, to name just a few. The airport is very close, only a few miles away, and McKinleyville, Arcata and Eureka are only 10-20 minutes away. If you need only one bedroom, this is the place to stay!

Great location, gorgeous view, and enjoyed our little fox visitor. The place was quite clean and comfortable but had a slight invasion of pill bugs - not offensive but a little annoying. Would definitely consider staying here again!
