Donner Memorial State Museum Is less than five miles out from your vacation rental where you can learn all about the emigrant experience and of the people that once lived here in this humble settlement so long ago.

Head on back after you've had enough adventure for one day and gaze up at the enormity of your new home away from home tucked behind tall and gorgeous trees. Inside, you'll be in awe at the spaciousness of your living area, with its tall windows reaching up to its vaulted ceiling. Kick up your feet and relax on the comfortable furnishings provided or take a quick power nap on the couch. The cabin-like interior decor along with its welcoming signs are sure to make you feel right at home. Cook up a delicious meal for everyone as you make use of the full kitchen's stainless steel appliances. Gather around the dining room table and feast on a homemade meal under the light of a spectacular chandelier.

Put on your favorite bathing suit and ready yourself for an evening of relaxing and simmering in your own private hot tub with a couple of drinks and some fantastic company. To warm up against the brisk cold air, head back inside and dry off by the fireplace provided. Wrap yourself in a cozy blanket and sip on some hot cocoa. You'll have your pick of the bedrooms, all awaiting you with their snug bedsheets. Slip under the covers and let the gentle breeze of the forest air outside carry you away into a good night's rest.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
