"The river was beautiful, but our enjoyment of the setting was overshadowed by a major, ongoing plumbing issue. As long as we were using a single bathroom everything worked fine, but as soon as the rest of our family arrived and more than one bathroom came into use there were problems which ultimately resulted in water backing through a toilet and bathtub and flooding of a bathroom. The problem was reported as soon as it was discovered, but because it was a weekend, no maintenance was available....

"The pictures are very deceiving. The house needs major updates. It was dirty and there were cobwebs and spiders. No sheets and no curtains in the bathrooms for privacy at all. We could not shower because of the lack of privacy, and we decided to leave a night early because we were so uncomfortable in the house."

"Stayed here in March so we could snowboard at Sugar Bowl, which is just 10 minutes to the west. There were only four of us, but the place could easily fit a large family -- lots of places to sleep. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook, and when we wanted to go out for a meal, Truckee was only 10 minutes to the east. The owner gave us her cell phone number upon arrival, and we ended up using it when we couldn't find the remote for the DVD player. (They have a solid collection of movies...

"Gorgeous land and buildings. Amazing room. A door on the master bath cabinet in our room had broken hinges and it looked like it had been that way for a while and not repaired. The shower felt a little awkward with no good place to hang your towel while you shower so you could easily get it when you're done. One of the drawers in the master bedroom would not stay closed and would slide open slightly by itself. Overall, an incredible place to stay."

"We had a wonderful time. Being in a top floor, we had vaulted ceilings, spacious two bedroom and 2.5 bathrooms. A large fully equipped kitchen. W/D, fireplace, deep tubs…it was so nice. Our east side view also gave us the wonderful AM sunlight streaming thru our bedrooms in the morning. I would recommend doing spot cleaning for the couches and carpets. We also were almost back broken due to the stiff mattresses. Few issues that we made work: jacuzzi was out of order during the visit, fire...
