"The Alverton is a beautiful hotel The building is stunning. The hotel is just on the outskirts of Truro, but a short walk into town. The staff on reception - rhe two Amys - give a very warm welcome. The room was lovely and spacious My only gripe was the wedding party, who kept me awake on the first night. Breakfasts are delightful, cooked to order. Staff in the restaurant were very friendly and helpful. Definitely returning to the hotel as soon as possible."

It seemed staff were more focussed on bar customers than staying ones. Staff got dinner booking times wrong twice and failed to inform me about the option for a larger cooked breakfast at Idle Rocks. "Just stayed for 2 nights, the Inn has 12 rooms free fast wifi, and the two rooms we had, family room and standard room, were spacious , clean, and lots of hot water for bath and shower, and we had a virtual check in, we booked pre covid-19, for a great price from Hotels.com, and it was great to see that that the inn hadnt closed down, it was a pity the restaurant and bar were closed, but we undertstand why!
