Very Good

Rustic B&B is quiet, secluded and could be romantic. Not all advertised amenities are available. Restaurant closed as respects lunch/dinner, and full breakfast replaced with cold offerings.
Price is high when considering reduced offerings. Bed & Buffet(cold) would be a more realistic category title.

The room was well appointed and clean. Lobby in the main building is beautiful.
The property is very dark at night and hard to navigate. Minimal on site coverage by the staff. Forgot to leave my room key as instructed. Breakfast was very basic and unexciting. Coffee was good though.
The staff was very pleasant, location amazing . Unfortunately the rooms were extremely dated with carpeting, old fixtures, and the smell was the worst part. I had to air the room out all day and spray with Lysol numerous times, the bed was comfortable and tub was Clean so I was grateful for that. this place needs a ton of work and would be nice if given love to the tune of a million dollar renovation, they would be back, but this poor place has been left in the past. Def not worth $250 a night unfortunately.
We absolutely loved it here! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We got stuck in a horrible traffic jam and I texted the property. They called me and let me know they would stay late for me and if it got too late they would leave me a key and tell me how to find it along with a map to my room. We stayed in the pet friendly suite which was very nice. Next time we plan to book a cottage, the cottages and rooms are very charming. All of the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful even if you had any issues with the room. They had great recommendations for places to eat in the area and fun things to see. It was a nice quiet area and conveniently situated for where we wanted to go. They had a continental breakfast due to staffing issues (they let us know ahead of time) but it was still plenty of food and they even let us take some with us back to our room. I hope they bring back hot breakfast soon but even then it won’t deter us from returning.
We will definitely be back and plan to book the gorgeous Stone Cottage next time.

I recently stayed in the Fitzgerald cabin at this hotel. The cabin itself was quite nice, and the furniture was comfortable. However, I was disappointed with the cleanliness, as it left much to be desired. The bathroom was incredibly small, which was a bit inconvenient.
On the first night, we encountered an issue with no hot water, and when we tried to contact the innkeeper for assistance, there was no answer, which was frustrating. Additionally, the in-room coffee machine was a nice touch, but the creamers provided were old and spoiled.
One of the factors that drew me to this hotel was the advertised hot breakfast. Unfortunately, just a day before check-in, I received a text notifying me that they would only be offering a cold breakfast with items like fruit, granola bars, and bite-sized cinnamon rolls.
Overall, while the cabin itself had its charms, the issues with cleanliness, a small bathroom, lack of hot water, unresponsive staff, and the unexpected change in breakfast offerings left me somewhat disappointed with my stay.
The stay was very heartwarming and welcoming, the stay was very courteous and friendly. The little town close to the inn reminded my wife of a hallmark movie, the stay was quite comforting.
Excellent staff. Poor wifi to our cabin. No hot food service as their chef had left recently. Historic property. My third visit and property seemed less busy than before. Probably due to rise of Equestrian Center. Overall pleased with stay.
Hotels.com should have vetted this place. False advertising in that there is no chef so no hot gourmet breakfast, no restaurant, no internet Wi-Fi, very shabby and rundown. A roach crawled across the wall when we entered our room. Very overpriced, no high quality bed linens or pillows.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
The rooms were comfortable, clean, and comfortable. The make-to order breakfast was great and the inn is well-located for Trion visitors.
The property was NOT handicap friendly with steep stairs and marginal handrails. The staff tried to help but it was not enough.
The site has narrow, winding poorly lighted roads and there are no signs identifying cottages. It took us almost 30 minutes our room on a rainy night.
This property is cute but in terrible shape. This property needs to be sold or invested in to regain charm. The lobby smells of cat urine. The accommodations are “cute” but are horribly dated and needs major modern renovation work. In summer, our air conditioning was unsatisfactory in the upper suite/cottage. We left early.
I will forever see this as one of my luckiest picks ever! I had the entire property to myself for the entire 1st day and night. It wasn’t until night 2 that another living guest arrived. I’ll let you dabble on that last line. Place wreaks of character and charm. The back story of the place makes it all the more cool. Simply spend an hour talking with either of the amazing women who work during the business hours to not only be welcomed but to be filled with great knowledge of the grounds. Just an amazing place. I will forever find reasons to visit this area in the future as to be able to stay here again.

There was no internet. There was no restaurant or bar open. The website is not up to date on amenities provided. I reserved this untit because I had a business zoom meeting in the evening and thought I could get a bite and a drink before my meeting started. When I checked in, I learned there was no internet at the property. I asked where I could conect for my meeting. The front desk person said, "well, maybe you could connect at the tavern."....totally inappropriate for leading a zoom busines meeting. All in all, exteremly over priced and deceiving. Expedia should not represent this property.
The Pine Crest Inn was perfectly beautiful, clean, and comfortable. I don't understand what some others could have been talking about with references to "everything being broken / worn out" etc. The Inn is historic, and if you only like accommodations that are brand new 2021 / 2022 construction or something, then you should go to Asheville and stay in HOME2 or INDIGO or something like that.

Authentic vs outdated and dirty.
To be fair we didn’t end up staying to see the whole property or experience any of the grounds; area or food. The room we were assigned was supposed to be a deluxe queen. It was in one of the historic cabins on the grounds; so I get wanting to stay authentic but it smelled musty and immediately my allergies kicked in. The rug looks like original from 1906. It’s stained; and old. The chair in the room was stained and smelled really bad. The curtains were dusty and dirty when we closed them. Everything in the room felt damp like if you’re camping. Needs a coat of paint; cracks fixed on ceiling, a new floor and a new chair! You can be authentic and still fresh.
