"A wonderful restful stop in Salento. The pool and the cute palace cats were a real hit with my daughter. The palace is beautifully restored and decorated with antiques. The alfresco dinner in the garden by the fountain was refined and unforgettable. The staff was friendly and helpful. We got to visit their medieval olive oil making subterranean tunnels as a bonus. It’s off the beaten track but definitely a must to visit."

Very clean and beautiful hotel. Extremely friendly staff, and they ensure your safety during this COVID crisis...checking temperatures upon check in, plexiglass around the front counter, etc. The pool is HUGE and wonderful during these hot days. And the location is PERFECT. Right outside of the beautiful city of Lecce, and in the middle of the east, south, and west coasts of Puglia (most beautiful beaches in Italy).

Hotel was very helpful with recommendations on places to see and places to eat not only in gallipoli but tricase porto, otranto, and galetina. Also made reservations for us. They were particularly helpful wither parking lot, which is 850 meters from hotel. They had us call ten minutes before arriving in gallipoli and jetty was waiting for us at garage to pick up luggage and take us into old town-no cars. Also fast service to get us to car for drives around area and pickups. We should have stayed...

Corte dei Francesi: we could not have picked a better place for our stay in Maglie (which was an excellent mid-point to explore the countryside towns and those along the coasts of the Adriatic and Ionian Seas). We loved our stay in Gallipoli, at Hotel 33 Baroni. We had a bit of an issue when we checked in, they sent us to a lesser room than we booked. We went back to the front desk and they put us in our correct room (which was much better than the first one they tried to put us in!) We had two little terraces and a view of the water. They also had to be told about our Expedia free benefit (bottle of wine) but it was delivered when we requested it. We loved the historic town and walked to it many...
