"Staff very helpful great food comfortable rooms"

"Lovely property in a beautiful location, but felt hugely overpriced for what you get in terms of level of service, maintenance and feeling taken care of."

"A great Inn and had a lovely atmosphere. Friendly staff, great breakfast and good parking."

"Nice hotel, nice staff. Basic food"

"Absolutely brilliant place to stay. Positioned in an ideal spot for shopping, meals/nights out and sight seeing. Would definitely stay again."

"We love historic places to stay at. The George fit that perfectly. The room was full of charm and character. Modern it is not, but we knew this going in and we expected what they delivered. The restaurant serves delicious food. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We would absolutely stay there again given the chance. Thank you, The George Inn, we had a wonderful w experience."

"Great place, walking distance to city centre."

"This is a lovely place to stay with with bright clean and comfortable rooms at a reasonable price. The staff are welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was included and offered a good selection. There was waitress service and the dining lounge was pleasant. My only reservation is that there is no emergency phone number at night should guests need to contact staff but overall I would be happy to use this hotel again."
