Beautiful hotel, with fantastic gardens, exceptional rooms & service. We were lucky enough to have a large room on the third floor with gorgeous views of the gardens & hills in the distance.

The hotel staff was very nice and helpful the room with spacious and clean and we slept very well because it was very quiet the location is excellent as a 10 minute walk right into the city center the breakfast is one of the best we've had

The hotel is located outside the city of Bath. It's about a 30 minute walk to the city centre, so we took a local bus. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel which is very convenient. Gems assisted us at check-in and printed out the bus schedule for us!! She was very pleasant as well as all the other staff. We were having dinner at the hotel, and she walked us to the dining room. Lovely property, a bit too far for me from the center of Bath, through an area that did not feel quite safe later in the evening. Otherwise, a lovely property, good value for the cost

I never do reviews but felt as if I had to since my wife and I had such an amazing stay at this hotel. Perfect location to walk to all the sites in Bath. The staff could not have been nicer or more helpful.

One of my favorite stays ever! I can’t say enough positive about this property! High marks all around; including, great workmanship throughout! This added to a very relaxed feel! The surrounding property is nothing short of gorgeous and peaceful. The room was top-notch! Staff was wonderful. The bar is fantastic, and the dining was excellent! The surrounding town was beautiful too!

We love historic places to stay at. The George fit that perfectly. The room was full of charm and character. Modern it is not, but we knew this going in and we expected what they delivered. The restaurant serves delicious food. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We would absolutely stay there again given the chance. Thank you, The George Inn, we had a wonderful w experience.

I really enjoyed my stay at The Gainsborough. You honestly couldn't ask for a better location. It's just a block from the square and an easy 10 min walk from Bath Spa train station, so getting around the city was effortless. Very lovely and quiet hotel within a comfortable walking distance to the tourist attractions, with free parking permit provided. Staff are very nice and helpful. Breakfast is excellent. Really recommended for visitors with the car.

I absolutely loved this hotel and would return in a heartbeat. This is the place to go if you want to feel pampered and taken care of. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. They make you feel at home. Their breakfast menu is amazing. The food is delicious and beats many of the cafes in the neighborhood. Their location is great- they are walking distance from everything, but still located in a quiet street where you can avoid too many tourists.
