"We enjoyed the more quiet feel of Grace Bay Beach East, the trip highlight!
Older resort, each unit is independently owned, functions similar to a resort. There is no room service. Booked a standard room (upper floors only), ours was on 3rd floor, but there is no lift/elevator. The man that took us to our building via golf cart was older so we helped him our luggage.
The kitchenette was in the small entry hallway and had a full sized garbage bin in the way, we placed it outside the door. Full size refrigerator with ice maker.
No blackout shades on the sliding glass doors. Tiny balcony, you would have to remove a chair and table to get in it, so the only use was to dry our bathing suits. The bathroom was nice and clean, however the toilet seat was cracked. Called front desk and they mobilized engineering. Upon returning from the beach, the toilet was completely off. I rang front desk to inform them (I am in the hotel industry and understand operations, and suspected there was loss in translation from FD to engineering), she responded “yes we appreciate the information as long as it is concise”. In the end we got our bathroom back. Food at the restaurant by the beach was very nice and service was adequate. There is a filtered water station in the lobby. Resort offers free shuttle to their Grace Bay west resort, then it is a 10 min walk to the tourist downtown.
At checkout Mgr asked about my stay, apologies issued.
We will try another place next time to Provo."
