The culinary experience was the biggest surprise of all. I have dined all over the world, and the food here tasted like I was eating at a 3-star Michelin restaurant. "New hotel (opened in November 2025), with currently pristine facilities. Rooms were clean, well appointed, and fresh. The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Not busy at all but I suspect that this will change once more people find out about it (it’s nicer in person than it looks online). Note that you either have to take a 10 minute taxi boat to Zenses and Blu Zen (resorts on the north island) from the main Caye Caulker town or can borrow hotel bikes to take the short trip ($1 or $2 to cross the water at the Split). I would definitely recommend this little gem of a retreat in the blue waters of Belize! Note: This is adjacent to Blu Zen, so parties could stay at both and still be in very close proximity."

"This is a beautiful hotel in Belize City. Room is equipped with everything you need. We didn’t have transportation and found that we had to walk about 10 to 15 min for dining. "

"It was my first time visiting Belize and I wanted to stay on the mainland before visiting San Pedro, and the Pickwick was very suitable for me. I could easily walk to different restaurants in the neighborhood, and there is a park across the street that was active and filled with different food stands. The vibe was great. There is also a casino and a very good restaurant on the property too. As for the hotel itself, the room was spacious and clean and the beds were very comfortable. The only thing missing was a refrigerator and maybe a safe, but everything else was great. The best part of the Pickwick was definitely the staff. They were all so polite and helpful and helped me with arranging a guide to take me to the Altun Ha Mayan Ruins and just driving around, showing me much of Belize City. I will stay at the Pickwick, the next time I visit Belize. 🙂"
