"Some things in our room did not work. Hard to figure out the electric “system” used-must turn on switches in order to use plugs. Needed maintenance to come turn off bath water-very hard to turn knob to get all the way off. Front desk attendants very helpful and able/willing to answer our questions."

"We were greeted with such warmth. And a Prosecco! Miraculously our room was ready very early. We arrived from an overnight flight, so this was perfect. The hotel is perfectly situated for easy access to the Royal Mile. We agreed, based on our overall experience, that this was our best stay in all of Scotland."

"We did not care for the property at all. They would not store one piece of luggage for one day on the day before we checked in. The front desk personnel was very rude and unhelpful. Room was small and dark. You could not adjust the heat or cooling. You got what they had the whole hotel set at. Also had a motion detector light under the bed which we could not figure out how to turn off and every time you moved in the room, it went on. Very annoying. Could only open the window about 1 inch. Lobby was not comfortable."

"Very well located hotel, walkable to pretty much all parts of Edinburgh and all the buses for public transport were right out front. FYI- no Ubers are allowed on Princes St. The hotel itself is falling apart. The elevator access was a complete pain with the card readers and the room was TINY. We had two pieces of checked baggage and two carry-ons meaning there was no space in the room for us to even stand. The shower drainage and ventilation of the bathroom was awful so the room was always stuffy feeling. I had breakfast at their on-site restaurant and it was pretty underwhelming compared to the other hotels we stayed at during this trip. Would stay here again in a pinch, but will likely try another property if I visit Edinburgh again. The staff is all lovely though! Shout out to Craig who was very friendly and helpful."

"A beautiful hotel in a fabulous location. Quiet, but close to walkable must see locations. The people working were wonderful and kind and upgraded us on the second leg of our stay. The only complaints we had are a couple times items that we requested be brought to our room were not brought, and some fairly large dust bunnies on the floor. Despite that, I would stay again for the comfort and location!"
