"When i booked i didn't realise how close it was to the A1, so was a bit worried about traffic noise when i found out, as it turned out i didn't need to, the rooms were located to the back of the property and you couldn't hear anything. The staff were all very friendly and the breakfast was spot on."

"Stayed in a family room for 1 night to break up a long journey. Arrived late but we were greeted by the friendly and helpful staff. The room was a bit cramped but was okay for our needs as we were going onward the next day. The beds were comfortable and considering the hotel is conveniently situated next to the A1 the room was quiet. Breakfast was good with a varied choice. There is the facility to book packed lunches but you need to book the night before. Overall a good friendly hotel. We would stay again if ever we’re passing through again. "

"Quiet location but only 20 mins to Berwick upon Tweed with Holy Island, Bamburgh and Alnwick within easy reach. Bedroom was huge with a comfy bed. Staff were pleasant. Good choice for breakfast and their evening meals were excellent. Restaurant gets very busy so its advisable to book a table. "
