"Amazing historical house. Great character. Host has included many upgrades and amenities. We stayed here during our vacation of waterton national park. Would stay here again and recommend to anyone looking for R&R"

"The perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. There is a path to the lake and steps for easy access to the water. It was great to be able to swim surrounded by Mountains! (a bit cold in June though)"

"We had a ok stay But…the quality of the kitchen utensils were poor. Beds in bedroom with bunk beds and single bed were very uncomfortable. The air conditioner was a wall unit that was old and in one end of the house. We were ok because the weather wasn’t hot. Floors were uneven with multiple kinds of flooring. The general cleanliness mediocre. The house was very dated. We’d not likely return."

"This hotel is really wonderful. I assume it has been fully renovated as the decor and furniture were in excellent condition. We had a lake view which was beautiful. I highly recommend this place! It’s walkable to everything in this small, quaint town. Easy access to restaurants, shops, and marina. Note to those coming in from US: there are two border stations if you’re coming up from the east side of Glacier. One is off highway 89 (Piegan-Carway). The other is off highway 17 (Chief Mountain). The Chief Mountain station has limited hours. We got there and it was closed. We didn’t realize there was another border crossing (thanks, Google maps!) so we thought we were “locked out” of Canada for the night with no place to sleep. Having no cell service at Chief Mountain, we drove back to St. Mary to see whether they had any available rooms. The reception desk there was kind enough to explain about the other crossing at Piegan that is open until 11pm. Crisis averted! "
