A no brainer if needing to catch an early/late connecting flight from Gold Coast airport. "This hotel is more like a backpackers, it has permanents living there. Dirty, smelly and noisy at night. . Smelt of smoke even though not supposed to smoke. Bathroom was VERY old and hairs on floor. Carpet was dirty, curtains were hanging off hooks. The outside of the building would turn you away straight away, but inside was far worse. We only had one night there as there was nowhere else to stay and we were glad to get out of there. At $121.00 per night I think this was disgusting. The...

"Very personal and helpful hosts. Wonderful B&B with everything needed for stress free holiday. We rented entire 4 bedroom guest house. Lots of nice foods supplied and Christmas choccies and decorations. Comfy beds and warm atmosphere. We were trapped for extra day by road closures due to flooding and Veriest the manager went out of her way to gift us food supplies. Highly recommended B&B."

"We enjoyed our overnight stay at Christmas Creek Cafe & Cabins. The cabins were basic but clean, there was a small heater, enough to take the edge off the chill in the room and plenty of warm blankets provided. We made a small fire down by the creek and the kids loved playing in and around the creek. Was lovely to get away and disconnect from the everyday routine! "

"Pros: The retreat room is small but it is cleverly designed to suit your needs and comfort. There are hiking tracks suit all levels and ages, even suitable for wheelchairs. Fantastic mountain view from the room, a lot wildlife, clean air, friendly helpful staff.... Cons: food is expensive. Retreat room doesn't have cooking facilities. "
