Historic raised Tybee cottage, very cool, comfortable and oh so Tybee!

Situated on a quiet residential street just a short walk to the beach, restaurants and shopping, with all the feel of a lay-back beach house. There is a screened porch along the front and a great deck complete with palm trees in back. Many of the original details are still there, bead board walls, pine floors, even a claw foot tub. The kitchen is updated and very easy to work in. There are two bedrooms, one with a king and a twin and one with a queen. The fenced in backyard makes it an easy house for children or pets. There is off street parking and lots of room for bicycles and beach toys

With the ocean only a short walk away, its a great home to bring your beach toys, kayaks, fishing gear or just relax with a good book. Tybee Island offers many options for great beach fun.

The Lighthouse is a must along with the Ft. Screvens Museum and the Tybee Marine Science Center. The Tybee post Theatre is a good option for an evening of movies or live performances. The library and YMCA as well as the picnic park and playground are just a short walk away. You can go for a beach walk, check out the dolphins or sea turtles, go fishing off the big Atlantic pier or move around the corner to the back river pier. Kayaks, bicycles, golf carts and surf boards are all available for rent or bring your own. Enjoy Yoga on the beach or maybe set up and paint the wonderful scenes.

This is a great small home for an intimate get away for 2 or a friends and family vacation for up to 5. Come enjoy our Palm Trees and Island Breeze Cottage on Tybee!!

Birthday Getaway

We came to relax for one last weekend before school starts and see my daughter who lives in Svannah a bit more. It was an easy walk to the beach and a comfortable place to just hang out with our favorite people and pets.

We loved this place so much that I wanted to book it again for Christmas through the new year , but was sadly told it would not be available on those days even though I tried to book it in August. Even though we didn’t get this house, I found another place to rent for 12 nights in December. My son came to visit a couple of times and he loved it so much that he was wishing he could buy it. We loved everything about it and would rent it again when available.Tybee Island is a great place to spend time with your loved ones.

Mini vacation

This rental has a great location. It had easy access to everywhere we needed to go, especy the beach with smaller children. They supplied everything needed for a great weekend vacation. No need to pack all that extra stuff. It was a nice place and I would rent it again.

Comfortable and Well Located

The house is older but functional. The kitchen has everything you need and the front and back decks are comfortable. Those with mobility issues may have an issue with the bathroom. Quirky decor adds to the charm but also the dust. Overall, it is a nice place to stay.

We love staying here.

We've stayed at this property many times and it's always relaxing. You cannot beat the location. The street is super quiet and a short walk to the beach access and the IGA.

Vintage cottage near the beach, walkable to grocery store, restaurants. Great for a couple or small family, fully stocked and comfortable for a beach vacation.

Lovely home and very kind host. We had a great time.

Our third time staying in Tybee and our first staying at Bonnie's "Historic raised Tybee cottage". This was our favorite home to stay in on Tybee yet. Plenty of room for all 4 of us humans and 2 dogs to spread out. The screened in porch was perfect for relaxing and the back deck provided all the space for the pups to play. We hope to come back and stay again next season!

I absolutely love staying here! It's so serene and wonderfully close to everything I enjoy. Bonnie is phenomenal. The porches and trees 🌴 in back porch are so unique. Love it all!

As always, we had a great time. The location of the house is perfect. We walk to the IGA which is one block away. We walk to the beach and to a breakfast spot. Highly recommend!

Another great stay at this charming beach cottage

Came back at this lovely cottage for a second year in a row. This place had everything my family needed : very short walk from the beach, everything you would require to cook good meals in the kitchen and a great front porch! Twenty five minutes away from beautiful Savannah. This place has everything : fabulous beach close to a wonderful historical city. Bonnie is akso fantastic host that communicates well and promptly.

Fantastic island getaway

This charming house was perfect for our family vacation. It is beautiful and very well equipped. The two full bathrooms were very practical. Location is fabulous. It was great to be a 2 minutes walk to the grocery store and 5 minutes from the beach. Bonnie was helpful and welcoming. I really hope to go there again!

Super cool spot, great location

We loved our stay here and the old-timey charm of the property (that kitchen!). Our kids loved all the games at the house. The location was incredible, tucked away yet accessible to everything (including the island's only grocery store!). The only downside is we had to cut out trip a few days short due to a coming hurricane. But we are already trying to figure out how to come back. Bonnie was a gracious and easy to work with host.

Family vacation at Tybee

Spent a few nights here and wish I were still there. Planning my next stay already. House is elevated with wonderful front screened in porch. Back deck is also a treat. Decor made me happy. Just colorful and fun. Appreciated all the amenities of some ready to use coffee grounds, laundry detergent, tons of towels and so on. Bonnie was a kind and professional host. Highly recommend.

Historic Raised Tybee Cottage

My wife, two cats, and I stayed at Bonnie's place on Tybee Island over Thanksgiving week and can't say enough positive things about her home. Spacious, comfortable, and a fully stocked kitchen were the three things that made our trip most enjoyable. Bonnie is a great host...easy to communicate with and ready to offer local dining suggestions or historic info for those so inclined. Note: For those with mobility issues, the staircase to the house and access to the tub/shower could be an issue, but otherwise this home has everything you could want for an extended stay! We'll definitely rent again! Thanks Bonnie for renting to us!

Tybee Cottage

This property is a charming, interesting, vintage Tybee cottage which I love. If you’re expecting large, luxurious, and modern, this is probably not the place for you. It was immaculately clean, and in a great and convenient location. The front screened porch and large back deck were perfect places to hang out with the family. And while we didn’t cook during our short stay, the kitchen seemed to be well equipped with everything you would need. Communications with the property manager was great. Checkin and checkout was super easy. I’d definitely stay again.

Owner is very nice but needs cleaning

We had a wonderful time in the house and the location was great. The couch and chair that is in the picture is not in the house. The house has wicker furniture with dirty cushions. My bed was full of dog hair. I called the wonder and she answered right away. She told where the clean sheets were located. I changed my sheets and it was the same thing again. I finally found two flat sheets that had minimal hair and used those. We loved sitting on the porch in the evenings. The owner is easy to get in contact with but there was just so much hair in the sheets. I realize that it is pet friendly but it was just A LOT to sleep with.

Great Location but the Beds were so Uncomfortable

The cottage was cute and in a really great location. The listing says 2 bathrooms, but beware - you have to read the fine print to discover 1 of the bathrooms is outside the house, downstairs. That was a deal breaker for the teens in our party - going out at night, in the rain, down into a damp basement shower and toilet was not going to happen. So we really only had 1 indoor bathroon that could be used. And it was tough sleeping because the mattresses were so very uncomfortable. Honestly, the worst I think I've encountered in a rental. And wrapped in a noisy cover so we woke each other up when we tried to get comfortable. If they replaced the mattress, it would be a great spot for a couple or a family without teens that can work with a single bathroom. The living room furniture was really comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. The host was delightful to talk with and provided really good description for check in.
