Embark on a distinctive vacation experience at 1-2nd Terrace, a lovingly maintained and updated original Tybee Cottage. This one-of-a-kind retreat is a 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom beachfront haven on Tybee Island, Georgia. This Tybee home is more than just a regular beach home, offering an unforgettable setting that captures the essence of vintage charm. Nestled in the mid-island of Tybee, the home is within walking distance of popular restaurants and shops.

Cozy vacation cottage with modern conveniences.
The story of 1 2nd Terrace begins as you step inside this two-story beauty. On the lower floor, you'll find the main living area, ample seating, and sliding doors leading to a covered porch – the perfect spot for shaded relaxation. The butcher block kitchen counters speak to the home's past, but the fully appointed kitchen has been appropriately updated with modern conveniences. Past the kitchen is a convenient half bathroom and laundry room. Dining seating is offered at the kitchen counter and dining table.
Additionally, on the lower level of the home is a primary bedroom with a queen bed and an attached full bathroom with a walk-in shower.

A vintage Tybee Island experience.
Ascend to the upper floor, where three bedrooms await your relaxation. The top floor of the home has painted pine floors, reminding you of the commitment to maintain the cottage's historic roots. A spacious primary bedroom has a king bed, reading nook/workspace, attached full bathroom, and private balcony with panoramic ocean and beach views. A bedroom with two twin beds and a bedroom with a queen bed share the third full bathroom at 1 – 2nd Terrace. Each of the bedrooms has been furnished with vintage touches and modern amenities.

Unparalleled Views and Relaxation
The top-floor balcony is the perfect spot to sunbathe, enjoy a quiet night under the star-filled sky, and watch twinkling lights from the ships anchored offshore. Right off the coast is the international shipping channel called "Tybee Roads," where the ships come from the Atlantic Ocean before heading down the Savannah River to port with cargo from all over the world. The unobstructed views from the top floor balcony allow you a spot like no other on Tybee Island to experience the relaxation of a sunrise over the Atlantic ocean.
The living room and all bedrooms have televisions with streaming options with either a Fire stick, Tubi or Live TV that can stream some channels through the app. There is not cable at this home only use of streaming services.

We (5 adults-Mom & kids with partners) had a fantastic time at this wonderful property. The house is great - comfortable, beautiful & perfectly situated. Steps to the beach and an easy bike ride anywhere on the island. We had bikes, chairs & beach cart delivered by Tim’s Rentals at the start of our trip and used them every day.

This property was more than we even expected! It was clean and comfortable with all the amenities needed. The house is nicely furnished. Just steps to the beach. The online pictures don’t do it justice! Highly recommend.

This property is so cute and cozy and was perfect for our girls' getaway weekend. The only thing I would disagree with on the listing is the number of people that this place sleeps. It says 10, but I think since these are small full beds plus an air mattress, it is more comfortably 8, which is what we had. Keep this in mind before booking. The kitchen is well stocked and clean, the views are great, and the place is very homey!

The house was wonderful, the perfect place for our family vacation. **NOTE - the listing does say that the beds are Full / Double - not Queen :) but that did not sink in while making the reservation, and it was a bit of a surprise when we arrived. The house was outfitted with plenty of towels, all of the kitchen dishes and equipment that one could use for a crowd, and there was plenty of parking. Overall a very nice stay - right on the beach!!!

Spent a girls getaway at this adorable cottage. It’s surrounded by other buildings but when you are sitting on the porch or balcony looking at the wonderful view, you don’t even notice. Each bedroom had its own bathroom, making it a perfect set up for us. Would definitely rent it again. The sisal rugs are pretty but a little hard on the feet. Keep your flip flops handy. The kitchen is well furnished and you can open up the French doors in the living room and really enjoy the ocean breeze. We really enjoyed our time there.

Right on beach.. would have liked some shades in the windows on beach side for privacy. It’s an older cottage but plenty of room with 4 bedrooms for the 4 of us. It was very clean ..The outside doors need some maintenance..but.. all in all it was exactly what we wanted. We had a great time.

We loved this charming property! We stayed over Thanksgiving and the kitchen was stocked with all that we needed. Adorable old cottage that is well appointed and roomy. Gorgeous views waking up every morning seeing the dunes and the sunrise over the ocean! It is a short trip into Savannah and not far to venture to Hilton Head. We would highly recommend staying here!

The house was exactly as described. Very clean, loved all the windows and the views! Kitchen was great. Loved the Porch swing and the sitting area on the upper deck. Right on the beach. Definitely will stay there again.

The cottage itself was very nice. It was clean, beds were comfortable, plumbing worked well, good amount of parking, nice appliances. I was however very disappointed with the dunes blocking the ocean view from the bottom deck. The listing says there are no dunes between you and the beach. Not true. I even asked before I booked and was told it’s a clear view of the beach from the bottom deck. My dad is unable to climb stairs. Him and my mom spent a week staring at sand and grass. It ruined our vacation. I complained and was told the dunes weren’t there in February when I booked. Seriously?! A group of university students studying the dunes told us they planted grass in them over a year ago. Plus, boardwalks are built over them. People don’t build boardwalks over nothing. I was given a 10% discount. Still unacceptable, I wanted a different location with a beach view. I never would have booked here if the listing description was accurate.

House is cute and charming. The dishwasher was an issue. Dishes in the cabinet were dirty when we arrived. Dishwasher was not working properly during. Had to be 10-15 years old. Mentioned to management company along with the water pressure at the master shower and they sent someone out within an hour of the call. Fixed the shower valve but could not repair the dishwasher. The maintenance man was very courteous. Ended up using paper plates and plastic cups to save on handwashing. Refrigerator was cold. But had rust stains on the face freezer door. Would recommend to homeowner new appliances and kitchen utensils for future renters.

Cute antique Tybee cottage. Right on the beach. The cottage is unique. Beds are doubles so not good for bigger couples but comfortable. Cleanliness was superb. Plenty of cookware, appliances are dated but work just fine. I don't have anything negative to say. Would definately stay here again!

If you love the beach and love old homes, this is the spot for you. This adorable house sits directly on the beach with beautiful ocean views from the upper deck. It is decorated with lovely antiques and artwork. We were able to see the entire island and eat at the highest-rated restaurants without moving our car for the week. We would definitely recommend this home for couples and families wanting to visit Tybee.
