We were amazed by how pretty and serene the yard was at first glance. The family was very welcoming, lovely and invited us to the Galungan ceremony with them, which was such a memory. The property is located within walking distance from the center of Ubud with lots of good food options nearby. Definitely recommend staying here if you also want to experience the local culture and lifestyle.

Ngurah and his family were very kind to me in my stay at their home. My first night they invited me to a special ceramony at the temple that included music and dancing. My room was private and clean with a working bathroom. Breakfast was served for me on the porch this felt very luxurious because the property has many beautiful plants and animals to observe while you eat. I think what I liked most was that it was so very quiet but still walking distance to all the good places like monkey forest and restaurants. My favorite was sayuri healing foods ( a vegan restaurant with live music) Ngurah was very kind to give me a tour of some interesting places like a coffee plantation, silver jewelry maker and wood carver. At the end of my stay he helped arrange transportation to the Gili islands and he made sure that I got a great price. I was sad to leave next time I will stay longer.

The pictures do the place justice. The rooms are simple but nice. The beds were a little soft for my taste and at the same time a little hard for my friend. The bathrooms could use a little renovation. The staff was exceptionally friendly and forthcoming!

This place is awesome!! It’s basic a room in a really pretty fenced off area. It’s right in the middle of Ubud, but on a quiet street. The family that runs this place is so sweet and amazing. I can’t say enough how great they are. They were super friendly and helpful. The son Ngurah helped us plan a day trip and took us on it. He was flexible and open to change when we decided to add a stop to our trip. The family served a delicious breakfast with Balinese coffee or tea and fresh fruit. The owners made us feel right and home and invited us to celebrate their temple’s birthday celebration. The ac was cold and barely made a sound. I would highly recommend staying here!!!

One of the nicest places I’ve ever stayed. Quiet, calm and just the most at home I’ve felt in a long time. The family who runs it is so sweet and helpful. The breakfast was amazing, you could rent motorbikes right from there and they helped us make travel arrangements for the next part of our trip. They offered coffee and tea anytime we came back from an outing and they truly made us feel at home. Would stay there again in a heartbeat. ❤️

Diese wunderbaren Gasgeber, die es zu einem wahren Homestay machen. Man bekommt sehr viele Informationen über das Land und die Leute, gleichzeitig ist man nahezu ein Mitglied der Familie und erlebt vom Gebet im Tempel bis zum Einkauf auf dem dem lokalen Markt alle. 最終日にはチェックアウトするのが寂しく感じるくらい、すごくアットホーム・フレンドリーなホテルでした！ ホテルへの宿泊というよりもホームステイに近い雰囲気で、1日カーハイヤーなども良心的な金額で手配可能でした。 ウブド中心地までも徒歩圏内でアクセスもよかったです。

Väldigt bra boende för en billig peng.

Ett fantastiskt boende i närheten till the main road, yoga barn och en ca 25 min promenad till the monkey forest. Familjen som äger rummen är supertrevliga, älskvärda och mycket hjälpsamma. De hjälper gärna till med utflykter eller shuttlebuses. Rummet var rent och mysigt, varmt vatten i duschen, fungerande AC och de städade rummet varje dag. Frukosten var väldigt bra! Man får helt enkelt väldigt mycket för priset man betalar. Rekommenderar detta boende varmt. Vi kommer definitivt boka rum här igen nästa gång vi har vägarna förbi Ubud!

Ich war für 10 Tage in diesem kleinen Lodge in einer Bungalow-Hälfte untergebracht. Die Bungalows stehen in einer kleinen ruhigen Seitenstraße mitten in einem urwaldähnlichen Garten, ausser den Naturgeräuschen hört man kaum etwas. Morgens kann man aus diversen Möglichkeiten sein Frühstück auswählen und bekommt es auf die eigene Terrasse gebracht. Das Zentrum ist nur ein paar Gehminuten entfernt. Was mich besonders beeindruckt hat war die herzliche und familiäre Atmosphäre und die Hilfsbereitschaft. Ngurah, mein Vermieter, machte sogar zwei Tagestouren zu verschiedenen Zielen mit mir und schlug Änderungen vor, die sich als goldrichtig erwiesen. Ich kann einfach nur danke sagen für einen tollen Aufenthalt

We totally enjoyed our stay at Suastika, a small family operation. The location is great, in the midst of Ubud, but off the busy street and backs onto a ravine, so it was pretty quiet. The breakfasts were delicious. It was clean and the family was very accommodating, from helping us with motorbike rentals to inviting us to a wedding and cremation. We'll be back!
