"Worst stay ever - DON'T GO THERE! The place is a mess. So dirty everywhere. On top of a cabin we found a thick layer of dust and a condom package, cables were hanging out of the walls, probably blood on a pillow (so disgusting) and the pool water was so dull that we wouldn't let our kids swim in it. "We were met at the airport by the property caretaker Mr Welgama, who was extremely helpful and kind. The villa was overall a nice property but poorly equipped and maintained. The hospitality is unrivaled and every guest experience memorable, from the Afternoon High Tea to the delicious buffet dinner which my well travelled son described as one of the best meals he has had. "This hotel has an old worldly charm about it. The buffet at breakfast and dinner is incredible and the staff very pleasant. A lovely touch having someone play the piano in the evening. Would stay again when visiting Colombo. They organised a great 4 hour city tuk tuk tour too which was fantastic."

"We stay in Cinnamon Grand every time we visit SriLanka. We love the set up with the lobby and the rooms.The rooms are clean well maintained and comfortable. Staff from the lobby,managers ,staff who clean the rooms are all very friendly ,courteous and professional in their jobs.They make us feel at home every time we come . I have no reservations in recommending this hotel to any one planning to visit Colombo."
