The Fossil Butte Motel

"This is a great place to stay! The room was big and comfy and nicely decorated. There are all kinds of extras. Our room had ear plugs, Andes mints, water bottles and swag- so nice! There was ice water and coffee available in the lobby and mini muffins in the morning. The staff was very helpful in guiding us to places to eat. I highly recommend the Fossil Butte Motel."

"This was a total surprise. I didn’t expect it to be so cute, clean and comfortable, but it was. We really enjoyed the historic building. It had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable. I would stay there again and again. Loved it!!"

"Adam, our host, was great in helping us check in. We were close to Bear Lake, but not in the chaos of all the people. Beautiful evening sky and very quiet. We spent a weekend hiking and it was nice to come to a relaxing clean place and stay the night and get a hot shower."

"This place was amazing, we had a great stay! The room was clean, comfortable with plenty of space and all the amenities (including a washer and dryer). It was great location being right in the middle of the down with a bakery on the first floor and nice coffee shop less than 250 feet away. The only issue we had was receiving messages through Vrbo but I was able to contact the owner directly to get the information we needed. They were very friendly and helpful. Overall they did an outstanding job renovating the old building and making the place beautiful. We look forward to staying here again the next time we are visiting Kemmerer, WY. The only word of caution we have is for people with difficulty going up stairs as these suites are on the second floor and being an older building the stairs are a little steep."

"Cabin was very cute and in a perfect location for us since we were running a Half Marathon right across the street . It had all the necessities you would need . The only down side was afternoons & evenings the Cabin got extremely warm as it didn’t have air and the ceiling fan didn’t help a lot. It would have been perfect if the front windows would have had screens on them to where you could leave them open . Host was great to communicate with."
