Especially loved the peace and quiet and being able to relax with a glass of wine on the balcony while listening to the sound of the sea and enjoying its breeze. Small boutique hotel outside of the hustle and bustle of old town with a private beach. Great restaurants within walking distance Prima Plora and their own Thalassa Seafood restaurant. My room was comfortable, but the bedroom area was a little warm. I’m sure they would’ve adjusted the temperatures if I had asked. As a female traveling alone I felt safe. Will be back! "

"Hotel has deal with parking 5 blocks away , was a nice touch. Easy to find. Very clean. Quiet. Staff was helpful . Luggage storage isn’t very secure but there’s staff nearby "

"Booked as wanted a hotel with a pool. The pool and the pool bar were closed unfortunately. The weather had been a bit changeable but the pool looked like it hadn’t been used for a while. Would like to have been informed.. However, the rooms were exceptionally clean. Could do with glasses/cups in the room though"

"The room is very clean of good size and offers all one needs to relax, self-cook or wash anything, air conditioning if warm and even heating if cold (usually not), a terrace with view on the see. Maybe add instructions on how to use the TV, which I have not watched."

"The staff is great, very welcoming and friendly. Michael gave us the information we needed to enjoy our visit to Rethymno. The Hotel provides great recommendations, very clean rooms, and a fantastic breakfast in the morning. Parking on the street can be difficult but the location and this hotel is worth the effort. "We had an amazing two week stay in the Myrtia Villa accomodated by the most amazing host George who went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed the most of our time. The villa is exactly as pictured and described and had all the necessary amenities for a family visit. It is located on a private driveway with plenty of parking in the heart of the village.The village is small but has plenty of character and the old town of Rethimno and the beaches of Petres and Episkopi are a short car or bus journey. We opted for the heating in the pool and it ensured we could enjoy it throughout the stay no matter the weather. This is a gem of a property and host and we will be recommending to family and friends if they wish to visit Crete. "

"The Villa was very clean and spacious (perfect with kids). Lots of windows and sunlight. Also, with a view of the Fortezza. Quiet surroundings with occasional sounds of farm animals and church music. The main big patio was the best part of the house. It overlooked the sea with the sunrise to the right and sunset to the left. A lovely jacuzzi was great to relax in on the patio while viewing the sea. The owner had cleaners come mid-trip which was very nice. The owner provided us with food and activity recommendations. He also gave us a quick tour/run down of the house which was appreciated as we were foreigners for the USA. There are some beach toys and umbrellas. There is a beach at the bottom of the hill which is quite rocky. There are a couple racks for drying clothes. The owner provided laundry detergent. He also had a few surprises cultural thank you gifts planned for us throughout our stay! Overall, very happy with our stay!"
