"The location was perfect for my needs. The room was tastefully decorated. There was no issue with the separate bathroom. The bed was a bit creaky and a mattress topper would be a good investment. My coffee machine didn’t work but had instant coffee. There was no continental breakfast left in the room unfortunately. The house beer in pub great .. Staff were friendly. We really enjoyed our stay at Hamiltons while in Southend-on-sea. The B&B was beautifully renovated. Our room (Lady H) was fairly spacious with a nice ensuite bath and closet space. Breakfast included a nice counter of cereals, yoghurts, fruit, and juices each morning; hot options were also available. Debbi was so sweet to make sure we had all we needed during our stay. I cannot say enough about our stay at Hand and Flower! The location was perfect (close to all modes of public transportation), the food was delicious (the inlcuded breakfast is the most generous we have ever experienced)… a comfy bed and updated amenities (charging stations, tea and coffee service, bathrobes)… this was our first visit to London and when we return we will be staying at The Hand and Flower!

I booked well in advance based on the locale (Bloomsbury), positive reviews, and bargain pricing compared to other area hotels. My room was a twin bed single + ensuite. Compact. No room for a desk, chair, wardrobe or such if that's what you need, but was fine with me. Bathroom is small but ok, but the shower leaves no elbow room (it has one of those rain heads, but there's no escaping it in this skinny phonebooth, so you have to turn it off to wash and shampoo, then back on again to rinse)....
