It was safe. You park your car inside the courtyard area and there is an armed guard 24/7. It is simple, but clean. The pool is small, but very pretty, partly in the shade and very well maintained. The free breakfast is buffet style and is FANTASTIC! Lots of selections, real cooked food, fresh juice, fresh fruit. No hot water, but not too bad. I know of no hotel that has hot water...lol.

I wish we could have stayed longer. This was like our private home in our private beach. If you want to get away from it all, this is the place. It does have wi-fi and other ammenities, but it lets you disconnect pleasently.

We had an excellent stay at Alma Azul. This is a hidden gem in El Salvador. The staff couldn't have been nicer, and were extremely attentive. The food in the restaurant was outstanding. The room was simple, but functional, with hot water, decent internet and a very comfortable bed. The hotel was located in a very quiet area, just a few minutes from the beach - you could hear the waves crashing on the shore from the bathroom. We would definitely return.

I only stayed one night, but enjoyed the hotel cleaningness, location and friendlyness of the personell. The breakfast buffett was included in the rate, so that was a plus and the breakfast was very good. I will definitely stay there again.
