Villa is inside GrandBear Resort complex.
(Please Note:WE ARE PRIVITELY OWNED, INDEPENDET FROM GRAND BEAR RESORT AND OR GRIZZLY JACK'S RESORT. Water Park Passes are NOT INCLUDED).Rustic log style furnishings. The generous 1,800 square foot Villa sleeps 8 with 2 bedrooms, 2 bath, comforting fireplaces, televisions, a patio, 2 balconies, washer/dryer, kitchen & dining area.

The kitchen is complete with all major appliances dishwasher, microwave, coffee pot, single cup coffee maker, toaster, dinnerware, eating utensils and basic cookware.
To maximize your rental experience please consider bringing any special items you may need. There is a 24 hr convince store located inside the resort lobby, should you forget something.

House keeping services are not provided for stays shorter then 7 nights. Guests are encouraged to take advantage of the full size washer and dryer to launder the existing towels and linens for a fresh supply.

*Villa toiletries (paper towels, toilet paper) will be provided but are based on the amount of people/duration of your stay.
Should you feel more is needed while on your stay please feel free to visit the General Store located inside GrandBear Resort.

*This Vacation Villa is privately owned and the use of some resort amenities (i.e. Water Park, mini golf) IS NOT INCLUDED WITH THE RENTAL.

Cozy and great location

We were in town for a wedding and the property was great for what we needed. The master tv speakers were blown out so we couldn’t use it at high volume, but otherwise the property was as described and host was a great communicator.

Perfect Starved Rock Getaway

We stayed here for our wedding in Starved Rock. Was the perfect lodging for us and our two teenage kids - perfect proximity to the state parks as well as being able to connect with family/friends who were staying at Grand Bear. The host was great and the unit itself was clean and very comfortable.

Hiking weekend

We had two couples in our group- this location was perfect for us! We hiked all day at Starved Rock and Matthiessen State Park, then enjoyed dinner in Utica and cocktails with cards at the townhouse. We will be back!

The property was great and nearby local establishments were very inviting and variety of food was nice. Check-in was not good, I never received property resort number of the villa or code to get in, I had to call the owner of the property to get all of the information needed.

Perfect for your getaway!

My wife and I booked this property for a hiking getaway for 2 nights. We absolutely loved it and highly recommend it Updated with a rustic feel. Extremely clean with plenty of room and amenities, and only a short walk to Grand Bear Lodge if you prefer something local for dinner at Jack's Place which hit the spot. Best yet was the proximity to the trails of Starved Rock, which is simply accessed right across E. 8th Road. We would definitely bring our kids as well as there is plenty of exploring to do whether outdoors or at the lodge. A perfect stay and will definitely look to book here again on our next trip!

Just a suggestion not a complaint

My wife and I stayed at this villa this past weekend and would definitely stay again if a couple of changes were made. But before those, this villa is very clean. Everything you need is there. The TV's are all new, the downstairs and upstairs were very nice. The neighborhood was quiet. A few suggestions for the owner to get us to 5 stars: The door going to the outside deck upstairs didn't open. The latch was broken.The 3 main beds and pillows are in dire need of replacement. We stayed 3 nights and tried all 3 with no luck at good rest. Very uncomfortable. The shower head upstairs and the clothes drier make very loud screeching noises when used. This was not a problem to either of us, just a suggestion to look at fixing maybe. We would definitely stay here again, if the beds and pillows were replaced.

Weekend in Utica

This property was close to the Starved Rock State Park and the town of utica, a big plus. For future visits, I would recommend to the owner the following: have shower gel in the bathrooms, kleenex, and dishwasher detergent in the kitchen. We could not use the dishwasher for lack of the detergent. I washed all our dishes by hand. We truly liked the gas fireplace in the bedroom.

Great location for our needs

This was our first time using VRBO. Although not the fault of the property manager, we found the app to be very clunky and difficult to use. The phone number to contact our host kept disappearing and we were unable to find the documents that he had originally sent to us.
