I had a lovely stay at City Centre Lodge. The room was very nice and clean, the bed really comfortable. The staff were always nice and kind. I definitely recommend this place.

Everything about the room seemed to be recently upgraded and modern. Staff was responsive. There is a canal adjacent to the lodge with a path following it. About 15 minute walk to Dom Tower.

Exceeded our expectations

We were happily surprised with our stay. I booked a bunk bed room for one night, and they upgraded us to a large room with a queen-size bed, free of charge (and we did not even ask for it). Very cozy and clean hotel. Perfect location in Utrecht.

The hotel is in a great location, close to a good choice of restaurants, bars and shops. We had a good sized room on the ground floor, and were not disturbed by any unnecessary noise. Professional and friendly staff. Nearby garage for parking where we were also able to charge our electric car.

Extremely loud hotel. The room has constant ‘machine’ noises and you can hear every step and every uttered word from your neighbour. The hotel looks very nice but I would not recommend anyone going here. We paid 150 euros for one night (incl a parking spot) but I gladly would’ve paid 20 more for some silence.

Boutique hotel. Nice setting on a small street facing a park area and the Singel canal. Small front, but lots of rooms once inside. Small foyer, which also doubles as a breakfast area. The rooms are in good condition with attention to design, but there is minimal space to put your stuff, both in the bedroom and bathroom. The room photos were taken with a wide-angle lens, so rooms are smaller than they appear. There is no elevator, and there are 2 floors above the ground floor, so be sure you can navigate steep stairs with your luggage if you are not on the ground floor. This is a "lodge", so there are interesting beams running along the walls, sloped ceilings and even floors, with head and foot hazards. Only some of the rooms have actual windows. Some have windows so high up on the walls you can't see out; they only let light in. Some rooms have no windows, only a skylight. A nice touch: these have blinds. The room layouts are somewhat peculiar. In one small room, the reading lamp was on the floor. No desk, only a small table. No fridge. In a larger room on the ground floor, the small fridge is on the floor rather than on a table of its own. In that room, the shower is tucked in the corner, but faces the bedroom. There is no shower curtain, so zero privacy. The washbasin is in the room. There is a huge window that faces the street, but people walk by on the sidewalk all the time, so you can't really leave the blinds open.

I liked my room but didn’t like having an interconnecting door, especially when the couple in the next room were shouting aggressively at each other. It left me feeling vulnerable. The girl on reception was helpful and got the tv in my room working. Checking out online worked well as I was leaving quite early.

Very noisy night. Lot of talk in corridors, through walls, and slamming doors until 3 a clock in the morning. Mayby it was just this night and bad luck, but the sound proofing is obvious not that good if you happen to have noisy neighbours.

Purtroppo non credo la consiglierò: una stanza senza finestre è al limite della legalità. Manca l'aria. Menomale che non soffro di claustrofobia. Inoltre, la mancanza di aerazione, favorisce la formazione della muffa in bagno, i cui sanitari sono in un materiale che non consente la rimozione perfetta dei residui di sapone che rimangono visibili. Il bagno è troppo piccolo, non ci sono appoggi. Non c'è nemmeno una presa per il phon. In tutta la camera ci sono solo due prese di corrente. Infine, in barba al risparmio energetico, quando sono arrivata tutte le luci della stanza erano accese.

Hotel comodo per il centro a ca 20 minuti dalla stazione. Camera comoda e spaziosa ma con notevoli pecche nell'insonorizzazione (praticamente si sentivano tutti i rumori delle camere accanto, superiori e del vivai in ingresso) Bagno piccolo che con la doccia priva di protezioni si allagava completamente)

Abbiamo ricevuto un upgrade di camera (dalla più piccola, alla più spaziosa), che ci ha fatto estremamente piacere. L'accoglienza è stata ottima, la pulizia all'altezza delle aspettative e sebbene non ne abbiamo fruito, la colazione sembrava ottima. Dovessimo tornare, non avremmo dubbi dove alloggiare (a parità di upgrade)! 😉
