"We had the pleasure of staying at this lovely resort for 1 week and it was a lucky week since we avoided most of the rain! We had a lot of sun and a lot of fun and relaxation. The views were spectacular and since it was our honeymoon they upgraded us to the sunset room! Which had more privacy and it was just beautiful. The staff here have all been so kind and always have a smile on their face. They had 3 amazing restaurants and 2 bars and we were always fed and kept full! We love sushi and had amazing food at the Japanese restaurant and had excellent service. Our waitress Shanika was so kind and helpful during our stay, along with everyone else who served us this week. We also had lovely excursions such as the dolphin tour, the sunset boat, and even swam with huge nurse sharks! This trip is one to remember! Our private butler, Manu, went above and beyond to make sure our stay was excellent. We would definitely love to come back here! We had the time of our lives! We had great food, great hospitality and unforgettable views."

"Here's a polished version of your review: --- Somerset Hotel in Male is an excellent choice for a transit stay. Just a 10-15 minute drive from the airport, the hotel provides convenient pick-up and drop-off services. Situated in a central location near attractions like the national museum, republic plaza, fish market, and the president's palace, it's perfect for a quick walking tour, which can be completed in under 30 minutes. The fish market, in particular, offers an intriguing stingray watchout, providing a unique experience not commonly found elsewhere in the Maldives. Additionally, the hotel is within walking distance of Rasfannu beach, although it's worth noting that the beach is relatively small. There are also several good eateries nearby, such as Seagull, Lemongrass, and D'Olive, as well as the convenience of Seagull supermarket. The family room at Somerset Hotel is spacious, with the staff accommodatingly arranging the sofa bed for the kids. Late checkout was offered, which was greatly appreciated due to our late flight. While the breakfast provided is basic, it is sufficient. Overall, we were pleased with our stay at Somerset Hotel and would consider returning in the future."

"A beautiful sun kissed location only 20 mins from Male. The island and resort spoils you from the moment you are picked up to the time you leave.  We stayed at a beach villa which gave us an unobstructed view of the sunrise every morning, that plus watching the fins of the (harmless) black tip reef sharks circling was simply magical. The sunsets from the pool and Captains bar were equally spectacular!.  The staff deserve a special call out; Siham our host for being on call when we needed her, the 3 Queens of Bageecha Geethika, Manikala and Samjhona for their beaming smiles and attentiveness and Vanna, Eyman, Vinnu and Ritesh for their exemplary commitment to service and extra special dishes due to allergies.  But there were many others too that made our trip very very special. "
