"Had an amazing stay at the altapura, read a few reviews a few days before we went and were worried, but it was great. Main complaints were about how hot the rooms were, which were understandable, but opening the window solved that. The other critique we read was about the restaurants and choice of food for half board. Breakfast was buffet and had a great selection. Dinner you get 65 euros contribution each evening towards food, which you can choose from the menu of the 3 different restaurants they have. European, Japanese and a cheese place. The food is all cooked fresh and to a great standard. The staff were really friendly and helpful, the hotel is in my opnion in the perfect location, ski in skin out, not far from several ski lifts, but not in thr centre of town so you don't get all the noise and footfall. Beds were really comfy, overall had a great experience and will be back next year! "

"Amazing hotel for a ski resort. Room was beautifully fitted out with a stunning view of the resort and valley. It is right at the top of the resort, but only 10 mins walk to the main group of bars, and there is a ski in and out option. Plus free transfer available around the resort. Breakfast options were huge to start the day. The bar was cosy and the terrace had a lovely view and sunshine. Spa was impressive but often busy. Only issues were that the room was often hot and no obvious way to cool it down other than opening a window/door. The boot room didn’t have locks on the doors or anywhere to store skis (which I assume is because everyone rents from their ski shop but that was expensive), and even with the transfers it is removed from the centre of the resort, so you will spend a lot of time walking up and down hill - but that was our choice. Definitely would go again."

"Overall very good. Father & son ski holiday. Pros Ski in and out excellent facility with excellent storage for ski gear - once you work out where to enter off the slope. Simple clean spacious if not dated decor. The flat has a nice layout and you can spend a week here comfortably & contrary to other reviews reception is very helpful (esp Anna) when its open. Cons Constant cigarette smoke come through the kitchen and bathroom vents. I had a blocked nose throughout, really unhappy that my 11 yrs old exposed. Its a design failure so no point complaining to reception."
