"My husband, son and daughter-in-law stayed in this delightful apartment in mid-May. We loved Varenna and the location of the apartment, so close to shops/cafes and sights. "Historic villa property beautifully restored in an amazing location with amazing view. Lunch and dinners on the covered veranda. Would have been better if bath for second bedroom were not down the hall. The owner was wonderful. At our request arranged for a private chef to come to the villa which was lots of fun, and delicious. She also arranged for restaurant reservation for the evening we arrived. Owner communication was excellent! We loved our stay!!!"

"This on a very steep hill next to a restaurant. The little village is very cute and you feel part of the community. It is fun to walk around the paths between the homes and explore. "On the positive side Villa Paola has a wonderful view of Lake Como and is very private. Unfortunately, there are too many things wrong with the house and the local management company to recommend it. "Luxury hotel with great views and access to lake Como. Our room was really spacious with a great view. The shore area offered a great way to reach the water and breakfast was delicious. Service was also very good. Thing that could be improved: beach area seemed to open late and at different times each day (11:15/12:30pm). Also limited food options during the stay - either very fine dining in restaurant at night or pizza (only) at the beach bar. A broader menu for dinner would’ve been welcomed. "
