"We stayed in the Avantgard apartment and while the location was great; right in the centre of the old town, within walking distance to many cafes, restaurants and shops, the apartment did have a few issues. It faces the main road so it was quite noisy throughout the night. The apartment itself is also very creaky, especially the loft where the bed is. "great location on the edge of the Old City plaza however the sofa bed was NOT comfortable and basic repairs could have been done. door was hard to lock and toilet seat was not screwed in place properly and very wobbly. Main bed was comfortable according to my roommate. Did have a washing machine which was great though I didn't need to use it for the night we were there. "

"Simply tragic: The kitchen smelled of gas from the cookstove (don't light a candle there!). Traffic along the main road made it impossible to sleep at night (trucks, etc.). The shower was more like a garden sprinkler way past its expiration date. Internet was non-existent. "Our stay here was great. We were made to feel welcome and the staff were very helpful when we needed them. We had a deluxe double room which was very spacious and the bed comfortable. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the old town one way and 15 minutes from a big shopping centre the other. The spa facilities were OK, the jacuzzi was a good size. We had breakfast and the choices were OK, enough for us. The bar had a reasonable selection of drinks but we didn't eat in the restaurant. On return to Brasov would definitely stay here again. "
