"Beautiful grounds and the room was very clean and comfortable. Bed was comfortable and ac worked well. Nice shower Gussippe was very nice and helpful. You can catch the 12 bus and go into Bari centrale with your credit card. Very easy to use the bus. We walked into the Torre Mare and enjoy dinner and the plaza. It’s about a 20 min walk there. Swimming in the ocean to the right when you walk out of the property is very nice. "

"The accommodation was very nice and clean, everything works (a/c etc.), bedding was very comfortable. Our hosts Francesco and Maria went out of their way to make our stay special. Breakfast was very nice. Location is also great - in old town - all restaurants are within walking distance 5-7 min"

"If you are looking for a great experience the Italian way then I would recommend this B&B. A small stroll to the sea, shops near by. Staff is great and very helpful. "

"The host was very kind and communicative even though we spoke different languages. Was great to have private parking and a simple walk into downtown Bari."

"Maria was absolutely amazing! Every morning, she brought us a fresh breakfast of our choice, right on time. Her home was in impeccable condition, with a secure, covered parking spot conveniently located near the elevator. The location is excellent...a 10 minute drive to one of the biggest and best malls we visited in Italy, and within walking distance of a nice restaurant.
Maria went above and beyond, even using her personal time to help me resolve an issue with my cell phone. Her hospitality...

"The outdoor swimmingpool was very Nice. We used it every day of the stay. The announced wifi did not work, and when I Asked the hostess she said the Walls are too thick so they stop the signal. We tried to get a connection outside, but it was weak, on-and off, so not practical. The hostess seemed a bit intense from the start, but Nice. That lasted only till day two, when she came to our door a bit agitated: Had we been to the beach and used one of the towels? I said yes we have. She then claimed...

"This historic 'cave' room is very comfortable and fun. It's within the driving limited part of the town, but is just steps away from plenty of parking. The bed is very comfortable, the heating works great, hot water takes awhile but comes on. The Relais di Marchese is billed as a B&B but when I asked about breakfast they said there wasn't any. I was invited to have a coffee and croissant at the cafe down the street. highly recommended "

"Great on pictures but didn’t live up to it in reality. Bathroom, sink and shower were smelly. The toilet seat was broken.
We also had a bad experience due to a lost item and the hotel was not helpful. When we drove back to find the item
The kitchen staff were lovely though. "

"The staff was all very pleasant and the room was clean and comfortable, and the shuttle service to the airport was very convenient – and free. But a few things let down what could be a really good hotel. In the evenings, the restaurant doesn’t open until 8pm which, when you’ve been travelling all day and would like an early night, is not ideal, especially as there is no room service before 8pm either. Then, in the morning, the restaurant doesn’t open for breakfast until 7am, which is pretty late for an airport hotel, and when it did open at 7am it was chaotic, with dozens of people queued waiting for it to open, followed by a predictable frenzy at the buffet and single coffee machine. And in a country renowned for its coffee, the bedrooms only have the desperately disappointing basic offering of tiresome Nescafe sachets and paper cups, and this is not a cheap hotel! They really ought to be offering a much better experience, which feels a little unkind on the staff but it’s not their fault. My recommendation – stay at a cheaper hotel and eat at the airport – there are plenty of options for nice food and good coffee there."
"We stayed at several hotels throughout Puglia and this was the most disappointing. The staff was rarely available to answer any questions (no one at the front desk most of the time). The room and common stairwell weren’t kept very clean. Breakfast was very limited also. We wouldn’t stay there again"
"I had to bring my wife at the last moment. No room change was requested, and I was fully transparent about arriving with my wife. However, I was charged additional fees despite there being no extra requirements or services needed for the room. These rooms are clearly designed to accommodate at least two people."
If you're looking for something a little different than the traditional hotel experience, a stay at a bed and breakfast could be a great option for your getaway.
Why consider B&Bs instead of traditional hotels?
