"I think the whole problem was perhaps due to a wrong expectation. The online rating and the limited photos gave me an impression this is really a good place. The location is indeed super, and the breakfast is excellent. However, the single room is extremely disappointing and even awkward. It is almost the smallest room that I have ever stayed in. The bathroom is far too narrow. There is no chair, only a stool. No table. Only a small cabin which has a small fridge inside. The window is not tight...

"This is a very charming hotel. The women running the place is very kind and helpful and made us feel very cared for. Wonderful breakfast, rooms very clean. Area very safe, walkable to every attraction and the station. I would absolutely stay here again."

"The town of Valkenburg is amazing and the hotel is situated right in the middle of the town, next to all the attractions with very easy access. Hotel staff is very nice and welcoming, the room was pleasant and clean, couldn't ask for more. The only recommendation is about the breakfast. A very small and same selection everyday. I would suggest to refresh the selection a bit. Overall a very good experience."

"The Parkhotel is an old hotel with character and well-kept up. The location is good: beautiful nature and quiet but in walking distance from center. We stayed in a nice and spacy junior suite. The only problem was that the airconditioner did not work - fortunately it was not very hot during our stay. Staff is very fiendly, breakfast is excellent and the swimming pool and wellness facilities (big sauna and steam room, hot and cold showers) are wonderful. "
