Our home is situated just a 10 minute drive from the Pacific Highway and we are an ideal stopover if you are on a road trip or just looking for a quiet space to relax close to the beach and cafes.
The one bedroom self contained studio apartment is situated underneath the quiet end of our home and has a private entrance through the surrounding gardens .
The space contains a bathroom with shower, toilet, basin and washing machine, a fully equipped kitchenette with microwave, refrigerator, toaster, slow cooker, sandwich toaster , sink , a lounge area with TV and recliner chairs , and comfy twin king single beds which can be pushed together if required. Please request on booking.
Private outdoor patio with barbeque for guest use.
There is an outdoor dining area with a barbeque.
The home is surrounded by shady tropical gardens and trees attracting abundant local bird life.
Off street parking is available at the front of the house and the apartment is reached by a sloping stepped path down to the rear of the property. It is not suitable for anyone with poor mobility (see photos) and is lit by sensor lights at night.
There are two miniature schnauzers, George and Hector who also live here and share the large secure garden.
The property is only a 10 minute walk to miles of unspolit beaches and there is also a pharmacy, two great cafes and a tavern nearby serving delicious food and beverages.

Beautiful, peaceful, comfortable. Hosts thought of your every need. There was a loud ticking wall clock which was a bit disturbing for a light sleeper. That’s why I give it only 9.5 out of 10!

Valla Beach. It was a very lovely experience, accommodation was perfect. Very welcoming, easy going hosts. Comfortable pleasant lounge area with two Jason rockers, lovely touch after a few hours in the car! Bed was just right too. Kitchen VG, light breakfast provided which was very much appreciated. From car to unit door is difficult for anyone with mobility problems, pathway a bit steep in places but worth the effort if possible.

Julie was a great host, generously offering gluten free options for breakfast. The unit’s lovely & private & in a good location to cafe’s & beaches - short walking distance, or by car if the hill to the beach is a bit steep for you. Once introduced,her two small dogs were welcoming & fun company. The side entrance could be tricky with suitcases, but that could be overcome by just taking down an overnight bag. I’ll definitely be back.

This property has awkward access over a down hill long rocky path. The room is at the back under the house. It is single beds only. My husband and I left without staying. Very disappointed. I have never heard of accommodation having single beds in a room for 2.

Car parking?

The pathway from the location that you have to park your vehicle to the unit is a bit ordinary. It has steps and crusher dust around concrete squares. You are not able to wheel your suitcase. I think it would be an improvement to have a continuous concrete path.
