The restaurants were good but not amazing - they are serving a lot of people. We enjoyed the poolside food (poke, ceviche, cheap nojitos!). The breakfast buffet was okay - liked the quesadilla station and the fresh fruit, and the pastries were good. But it was frenetic and crazy (go early!) and there were lots of children. This was spring break/Semana Santa so maybe that accounts for it. The adults-only pool was an oasis of calm!! Restaurants - Mezquite was pretty good and beachside, which is nice. Codex was excellent! Really enjoyed that meal. Inventive and yummy."

"Very nice resort, great food, great beach. The only problem is, do not expect a booking at an à la carte restaurant. The butlers they assign to you to do the bookings tell you every morning that the restaurant is not available. Most likely it's a tactic to keep restaurant bookings down."
